Wow, this is exactly the kind of emotive playing that I want to master. Patreon'd.
Outstandingly great tuition as ever. At a time when everything is going to shit and the future is terrifying, your videos are a beacon of hope and joy. Thanks Adrian.
❤ You can say that again
Oh man, that’s just lovely playing …
Beautiful playing. Such a joy seeing you connect the entire neck into one seamless melody
Always wonderful to hear your original playing
What a beautiful chord arrangement and harmonization.😊 Great lesson too.
Beautiful piece Adrian!
Great lesson. Tons of great advice here! Thanks for sharing & the teaching.
Excellent video! It's rare to find the pefect mix between a lovely piece of music and a lesson that makes you progress so much. I've spent the last 3 days working on this lesson!
Beautiful soul chord progression. Love your playing style❤
What a great progression and fun to work on thank you
Nice Adrian, appreciate the work you put into the covers, let alone your own riffs and ideas.
Sounds very Damnwells and I’m here for it! Thanks.
Beautiful melody
This is your second piece that definitely has a Wilco flavour...love it!
Does Adrian realise how lucky he is to have such large hands and fingers? They might be described as Rachmaninovian! Bloody huge! I wish my little stumps could stretch like that... 🤔
I'm always amazed at how long his fingers look in these videos!
His fingers enable him to reach those 'Gestapo chords' as my old music teacher called them with ease. But it takes the right sized guitar with stretching exercise
His little finger looks like that of E.T.
@@TheBootywestGestapo chords!!
Ha! Gold mate!
I'm bludging that off you and your teacher!!
There's a CnW chicken picker, he does slide too.. but he's got chunky sausage fingers, and he tears it up!
I just can't remember his fkn name!
haha now I'm feeling all self-conscious about my freakishly weird fingers!
What a fantastic video have a wonderful weekend ❤❤❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊😊😊
Absolutely beautiful Adrian! I haven’t been able to stop working on this all weekend. The chord progression and all of the amazing style and technique you capture in this lesson give me an excellent benchmark to grow as a guitarist while trying to develop my own style as well. This is the reason I am proud to support you on Patreon!
Amazing playing, so much things to learn from that lesson thank you so much !
Another very enjoyable lesson. Thank you very much.
Morning Addy!
👍🇦🇺
Magnifique!
Beautiful.
always appreciate your approach to this youtube world. lovely playing, as always. somewhat reminiscent of dean wareham to me… someone who would be an interesting addition to the stable of unique guitarists you examine. thank you for these videos. they fill such a distinct and underrepresented place.
Theory is great! I need things broken down into structural pieces that I can put into context…to learn new things. Choices, voicing and colors are important to work out, so one can move around the board.
Performing, I need to let go, not think and listen to the muse. Inevitably, when I lose focus and I find myself in a different part of the board, the experimentation helps me not face plant…most of the time 😊
Thanks
Lovely!👍
Lovely. Reminds me of Leaving by Shelby Lynne
Richard Thompson style. Another great tutorial, Adrian!
Thank-you. Yes, love RT, so very pleased you picked up on a bit of his sound coming through in this video. Reminds me I must do proper RT video at some point.
Timely just as i want to learn some soul tracks and incorparate thay into my work
Beautiful playing. I definitely try this one. 🙏👍 Btw, I would thought that the chord progression is in F major key in the first place.
Yes same chords as F major but personally I don't hear it that way. C is very much "home" so I'd either think C mixolydian or C major with some non-diatonic chords. Totally up to you how you think about it, but for me it's not helpful to think key of F here.
What kind of guitar is that
it looks cool man.. triggering to have one
Have you featured any Billy Zoom?
GORGEOUS WHITE GUITAR 🤍 What builder is it?
sorry, but too much theory. I just would have liked you to show how exactly you played the piece. I am way too stupid to understand or apply theory . buts that just me.
I disagree. I too used to shy away from the theory, but I'm now seeing how riffs and phrases don't just happen by accident, and are usually parts of the bigger puzzle. Adrian explains theory elements clearly and in context, without it becoming a theory lesson (he always gives us a heads up if it is a heavy theory lesson). I know everyone has a different level and opinion, but for me this actually helped a lot to see where these parts played came from and interconnected.
I'm just loving this chord progression. And the guitar effects, vibrato, etc., are stunning.
