The 2022 BMW M5 CS is undoubtedly a quarter mile monster. With no Black Series E63S yet announced, nor a RS6 Performance model, we decided to put it up against some tuned versions of its fellow German competitors - the Mercedes AMG E63S and the Audi RS6. Can the stock M5 CS handle the ridiculous power that has been tuned into the cars it’s lined up against? Things don’t always go as planned during a drag race. Watch! SUBSCRIBE!!!

The fact that you need to tune the Merc and Audi and win by less than a car length to the M5 CS just shows how BMW made that car.
The M5 is on a slightly different level than the others though. The AMG and Audi aren’t real direct competitors to the CS model which is newer

@@Odinthegiantdog The cs has gone 10.5/6 lol the fastest stock e63s are 11 flat. And after the 1/4 the gap just gets bigger as the CS is over a second faster than the e63 in the 100-200 sprint.

@@davidshamiri1448 when you make changes, you can make the car not throw codes, but they will still be able to see the fuel trims, timing, and boost that the car has been running. Even if you switch back to stock, they will see that it was out of their expected range. Even if it is perfectly back to stock, if you car performed better or worse, they will know

As an Audi fan, I can definitely say BMW really stepped it up with the M5 CS.. extremely impressed. Also is the AMG really just tuned? I'd imagine it would need turbo upgrades for 1000hp

That m5 cs is unreal. I was thinking they have definitely underrated the power, it’s at least 650. But after seeing it hold it’s own against these tuned cars, it’s gotta be more than that. It’s still the last car of the 3 I would choose if I won the lottery, but respect where it’s due.

I have to got to hand it that M5 CS. It really held up its own. That too the stock version was able to keep and up and not be utterly destroyed in either of the drag races. A true testament to the engineers at BMW 👌

Yeah, but the M5's engine will destruct itself. It is ok to tune it up to about 800+ hp. But not 1000. Otherwise, it will require such modifications, that will cost as a normal M5.

These new engines sound so boring and muted, even tuned which was surprising. Manufacturers and aftermarket both add the obnoxious, annoying ‘burbles’ to try and make up for how lame the engines actually sound it seems.

Turbos are close to the limit at this point, a remap won't do much.. But throw a catless or high flow cat downpipes on it. That will definitely wake it up, also the OPF

There is a lot to take into consideration here, first bmw is a sports sedan, meanwhile the merc and audi are not, second bmw has more hp than advertised guaranteed, third the e63 weighs 2100 kgs, audi 2250kgs, bmw 1850kgs see the problem here >> weight, more weight more hp needed to speed up the initial mass. Physics.

You guys should know, I made my BMW dealer crazy to find me an allocation for the M5 cs after watching your 1st video of it vs the Hellcat. I finally got one and ordered it in this exact spec, Frozen Green and Gold calipers.
I originally was offered it and decided against it because I am waiting on a 911 turbo s but having 2 cars is better than 1.

@@ode1854 Check the video of a 1000 hp m5 comp against Porsche 911 turbo S in Carwow channel...the mighty dedicated monster of a 911 turbo S couldn't keep up with that tuned M5...It wudn't hv a problem with traction trust me...by the way it did 9.00 Seconds and in another video there were another M5 comp tuned to 800 hp...less than the first one but it still did a time of 9.4 seconds which is faster than the stock M5 CS by half a second cuz the M5 CS can run a quarter mile in a 9.9 s time...and considering the 1000hp e63s wasn't too far ahead, it wud be safe to say that a 800hp tuned m5 is faster than a 1000hp tuned e63s.
@@shahbazlambo2497 1st of all m5cs does 10.6s 1/4 mile in perfect conditions...and secibd of all m5comp competes with e63s, they both weigh pretty much the same (m5comp slightly lighter) and with same hp numbers they would be equally as fast because amg has faster gearbox so both have their advantages. Ofcourse a 1000hp m5cs would beat 1000hp e63s because 200kg advantage

You can tell the S and the Audi were fighting for traction. In the rain power does not mean much without traction. Let's do it on the dry. You will see the M5 will NEED a tune to be on the same ball park.
