Liu Tingting is so incredible! Her leaps are stunning. And she was very influential in influencing beam routine construction during the 2017-20 Quad. Tim and Nastia were so rude for spending so much time harping on her dismount. Tingting had the highest E and D score in the final. Her skills on the beam are what drive up her D score. She was just using the code to her advantage.
Sorry to be so off topic but does anybody know of a way to log back into an instagram account? I stupidly forgot my account password. I appreciate any tips you can offer me!
@Noe Eric thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site thru google and im waiting for the hacking stuff atm. Seems to take a while so I will reply here later with my results.
Bruh, can American commentators stop talking about Simone over other athletes being introduced? You can fawn over Simone any other time you want, but goddamn show the smallest amount of respect you can manage. *other athletes being introduced* Nastia and Tim: oh yeah Simone can win a gold here! Me: 😐
I understand but they are American commenters so they make a lot of comments about the Americans. You will find the same scenario with the Commenters of other countries. It is what it is! They do comment on the other gymnasts. By the way Simone was performing with a kidney stone which is severely painful.
I'm a huge gymastics enthusiast, but was never a gymast so I dont know the details on a lot of stuff, so I'm asking the gymnastics experts out there. I always wondered why Elli Black wears the shoes/slippers on beam? Wouldn't it be much more advantageous to have bare feet so you can grab the beam with your toes if you need to? I feel like wearing something on your feet takes that away. Unless there is a benefit I am unaware of. So just asking the gymnastics experts out there!
This is kind of a dumb question, but I’m hoping someone can answer! I’m going to use Zhang Jin as an example. On her first series (backhandspring, backhandspring, layout), she grabbed the beam and then fell off. Does she receive a deduction for both grabbing the beam and for the fall? Or just for the fall? (Hopefully that makes sense!)
I think not letting the gymnasts have that 30 seconds to get the “feel” for that particular beam really could make a difference in the performance, like Nastia said , each beam is a bit different of a feel , Jmo
Because of the slight balance check between the switch split and the switch split ½ leaps after her mount, it wasn't evaluated as a connection; this meant she lost 0.5 for losing the "dance series with split" compostional requirement, the 0.1 that she'd normally get for connecting the two leaps, and the 0.1 "series bonus" if her switch leap mount, switch leap, and switch leap ½ were connected as three elements.
@@gym_analysis It would seem that way since it's a leap, but I guess since it's technically a mount element and not a leap/jump element it doesn't fulfill the requirement.
@@ChainChomp2 Yea I just reread the CoP and it says all CR have to be performed ON the beam ... It's such a pity tho she didn't even bother did a backup dance series and she also counted a B skill, then again she wasn't a beam contender I guess she wasn't too affected by it
I’m just not a fan of the risky beam mounts. They’re not worth it, imo. Also, tho, I am really impressed w how supportive the girls are a cross country lines, hugging each other and offering sincere smiles. Good sportsmanship.
I think risky beam mounts should be upped in value (not all of them). If they’re risky, they should be worth it. I believe some of the elements were updated this quad but not all deserve to be D+ like the freaking candle stick mount.
I wanted to hug Zhang Jin so, so bad after that exercise. I could hardly handle getting a B at 16, I don't think I could've handled two falls off the beam at a World Championships! Edit: wait she's 17. Doesn't change my comment, though!

@Noe Eric it worked and I actually got access to my account again. Im so happy:D
Thanks so much you really help me out !
@Karson Conor glad I could help :D
If I have to hear "a little bit of a pike" one more god-damn time!!! Lol!
WAG has come up with some stupid rules but no warmup for the finalists is number one. I agree, that is so unsafe!
If I recall correctly, that rule changed after Tokyo 2020/21
Can’t wait to see Anna Padurariu compete for UCLA. She will do great things.
I still hope she’ll make a go for Paris. Her beam in particular is amazing.
aww i know most people had rough routines but i felt especially bad for kara
And the first Chinese girl- top qualifier and two falls, ouch.
Honestly this final was almost as much of a disaster as 2017. Only like 3 gymnasts hit a solid routine.

I hope Anna Padarariu got a picture of that scoreboard! What an awesome moment for her.
Tim and Nastia need to shut up about LTT's 2/1 dismount. "An easy dismount! But it's not a deduction! It's the rules they've created!" SHUT UP
They mentioned that #1 because it used to be a deduction #2 It does seem a bit junior gymnastics.
They are so annoying

Turns but also to protect her ankles and feet
Wow this beam final was a MESS

just the 1.0 deduction for the fall
@@shangchunsongfan8302 Thank you so much!!
I’ve wondered the same. Thanks for asking!

You are spot on the mark. It’s honestly a safety issue, and why they’ve gone back to allowing it.
I think Simone going first with that life score freaked everyone out.
Tbh I don’t think Simone should’ve got bronze. That routine probably deserved 4th
@@nathanielhalls1893 yeah Nina deserved the Bronze, although I want to understand why Ellie Black only has a 4.8 D score
@@ansonpangNina? With much less difficulty and multiple wobbles

Hi @GYMFAN Can you please upload WAG bars final.
The woman in the yellow seated right behind the Longines sign and next to the infomonitor is a mood.
How on Earth did Ellie Black lose 7 tenths from her score in quals? That's massive...
She lost .7 in difficulty score probably from a mixture of broken connections and they might have devalued her layout
Because of the slight balance check between the switch split and the switch split ½ leaps after her mount, it wasn't evaluated as a connection; this meant she lost 0.5 for losing the "dance series with split" compostional requirement, the 0.1 that she'd normally get for connecting the two leaps, and the 0.1 "series bonus" if her switch leap mount, switch leap, and switch leap ½ were connected as three elements.

i personally think that they’re worth it if the athlete consistently makes it (if that makes sense)

Great job ladies.
I swear the older I get the younger the gymnasts look. Is that normal?
nina doing TWO wolf turns oh my god ENOUGH💀💀
can’t believe kara flopped this, she is such a fierce beamer
Anne-Marie beat Simone Biles and Sanne Wevers on beam and no one can ever take that away from her
oh wow
Why did Valerie Liukin step down?
