California Gov. Gavin Newsom addresses Meghan and Harry’s ‘delinquent’ charity controversy

- California Governor Gavin Newsom weighed in on the controversy surrounding Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Archewell Foundation.
The charity run by the couple was declared “delinquent” and ordered to stop raising or spending money in a letter from California’s Attorney General Rob Bonta on May 3.
But Archewell and the attorney general’s office have confirmed that the organization is now “fully compliant and in good standing.”
Newsom, 56, defended the Sussexes and their foundation during a press conference at a behavioral health treatment center in San Mateo County on Tuesday.

And what in a course of a couple of years when he wouldn’t take M calls and Kamala Harris wouldn’t give them her number?? Why would a governor care about private citizens charity foundation? No longer royals, took in $400,000.00 last year and paid out millions. KC announced they will never be in the monarchy again. This was not about a tax filing, it was about a simple charity form that WAS filed properly and in a timely manner, but the state failed to process the check for $200 and it was thus declared delinquent. Of course, the British media jumped on this and the inevitable nasty comments (such as your own) came forth. The Governor was just trying to mitigate some of the damage for a small non-profit that didn't deserve the negative publicity. Of course, that doesn't fit your narrative, so I am totally prepared for you to comment back about grifting/disrespecting blah, blah. Just don't bother.

I have reached out to try to find any address where I can leverage this organization to help in my community. It purely picks and chooses what few donations it has made with $17M on their own. It’s a fact and any charity foundation in the US is bound by law to submit reports and fees each year and they’ve done nothing in 18 months with several notices mailed. As citizens we have the right to know when a charity hasn’t followed laws and rules, how much they have donated to causes and what they took in. Why? It’s the only resource we have to go by when deciding to donate or not. A charity is overseen by the government and must adhere to laws. If they have failed to comply and become delinquent that should be public knowledge as they rely on donations. Newsom is a globalist and MM is being groomed, allegedly
