  • If you want to know more about the 'normal' behaviour of this neat little LFO module be sure to watch my complete overview of Waverunner: • Frequency Central WAVE...
Sometimes the Waverunner acts a bit weird whenever I use the level input to attenuate the output. I noticed something unexpected with the N (noise) wave as well. In this video I demonstrate when this weird behaviour happens. It doesn't interfere with my use of the Wave Runner but it possibly might be something you want to know... I haven't received a reply from Rick yet, I guess my request got buried under the vast amounts of messages he receives.

Intesting. Unexpected behaviour that could be useful (I quite liked the first example waveform)

Yeah it's quite usefull to add CV control over rate without it even being a feature of this LFO, albeit with the caveat that the amplitude is influenced as well. Nevertheless I really don't understand why this happens. I don't know if it could be some kind of bleed from one circuit to the other, I don't know if that's even possible inside this LFO.

i have a wave runner (that's why this post caught my attention) - i will check out if mine exhibits these same behavior's - I build a lot of DIY and I'd speculate the reduction in your Noise output at full-clkwise rotation might be due to the potentiometer ..it might be faulty or it might be and exponential taper or visa-versa

Hey xPump. Thanks for your comment. I'm interested to know if your wave runner does the same thing when applying voltages to the level input as well. Haven't heard back from Rick but my unit is factory built so I'm not sure if it's normal or not. It doesn't interfere with my use of the module so it's no big deal but I'm always curious when I notice behaviour I don't expect.

I tested mine and also saw the same attenuation reduction when turning the freakknob past 5 O’clock on the noise selection.I was not able to replicate the issue you had with the Sync and Level input interactions, everything seem to work OK for me I in that department. 🖖

@@xpump876 Aha, so there might be something weird going on with my waverunner after all - if anything I'm fascinated by these intricacies. Thanks for testing it out! One other weird thing I notices with the LFO is that when I sync it to a really slow signal the LED doesn't flash. At first I thought waverunner just wasn't syncing to triggers that are slow but when I connect the output to the scope the actual LFO output is working like it should, synced as intended.
