Hi Derek. Excellent, excellent, excellent, very good. Congratulations on your new workshop. You inspire many people to work hard and keep growing. Thanks a lot.
On the LTC5, what is the ink consumption, I know you said that you would do a video, but I can’t find it. You have pretty much convinced me to buy one. Cartridges are 9000 impressions at 20%, but I’m curious in actual consumption
Whoa! Nice editing! Loved the video! Would you recommend the Roland over the HP Latex for someone’s first commercial machine? I’ve been following you for ages and was saving up for an HP but now I’m conflicted! I’d be running it in my basement and I’m worried about the eco solvent fumes if there are any? Thanks! :)
So it’s hard to say, the zero fumes and fast print times of the latex HP are sweet but the resolution of the Roland just produces the best image. I would not print banners with the Roland in a small environment but low ink usage (stickers) produce almost no odor for our 1,200 sqf area.
I don't know how you made it as long as you did where you are without AC. I'm right next to the Bay and it still gets hot in our warehouse. I'm looking forward to see how things look out there. Looking good.
Any recommendations on where to buy removable 6 mil glossy/matte white media? Also, love your videos. Great to see the accomplishments you have made. Make me want to work harder.
We have found 6 mil is way to brittle and breaks down way to fast you get cracking. We use a 4-5mil then laminate with a 4-5mil it can vary between based on our spec that way its more cost effective as well. You will need to shop around directly with the manufactures to get the best pricing. We have yet to find some one who will sell less than 30 rolls at a time so wee need to buy 2 pallets at a time 30 rolls in lam and 30 rolls in white.
Have you ever considered the Roland LEC2 300 UV printer for high end quality labels? I can’t decide between that model or to go with the LT5C. Really wish I knew more on the LT5C cost to produce.
I am always curious..is there a way to move large equipment into a flex office space like this when it doesn't fit through a single front entrance door?
Congratulations bro! I am from Chile and I would like to buy different materials for the afinia lt5c (the black material and the holographic material). Where can I buy it in the United States?
I have the hp latex 115 with the basic cutter, I want to get the Grapghtec 9000. Do you think I should do that get a new print combo together like the epson 40600 with the Grapghtec no longer a fan of the latex
@@printshoptalk I got the Grapghtec 9000 2 days ago, I love it. Just need some setting on diecut/perf cut stickers. Do you have any videos on the settings you use for your plotter?
Pls am into sticker printing I need 20inch vinyl glossy printable material for my stickers am using B-20 Roland machine. Pls help me out any where I can buy the material for shipping.
We are constantly upgrading equipment to fit our needs. We felt we had enough work to justify getting a solvent printer and enough income to replace all the printheads if they clog. The cost of printing in large volume is a lot lower with solvent but there are some huge trade offs. HP is just faster, cleaner, mor user friendly for our first machine and it was Oder free for banners. If I where just printing banners I would not get the Roland as it’s slower and the odor would build up with the heavy ink load. (Not home friendly in my opinion) does not mean you should not get it it’s just our opinion and what we did.
We started with a small Roland and needed a bigger machine so we got a latex but had little work in the beginning. Now that it has been 2 years later we have a lot of work and where looking for higher resolution, wider Color gamut and ability to print on future substrate. With the workload we have in the experience with learned the maintenance really is not a big issue for us and we are not concerned if the power goes out and the machine head clogs as we now have the funds to cover any major maintenance issues that may arise. We are always looking for the next best movement for our business so things will always Change so what I see on the videos is at that given moment what is best for us and I just show you guys the ride. :)
We are happy with the Roland and at this time we would only go back to latex for banners or if they come out with a higher resolution. One other thing is I would like to check out the latex white ink. This may be a selling point for hp as the Roland white is so slow. Hope this helps your dedication.

What's your advice for a beginner trying to learn die cutting? Can you do a video for beginners as well
I have other videos I just kinda shoot videos as I go. Don’t give up ⬆️ lol it can be frustrating at times.
Can you please do an entire video on the Roland? Maybe even a series 😄 thank you! Love your videos!
Absolutely Brianna, I have a New video on creating an outline and then the next video I will try to cover some basics of the roland.

Yes

Great videos! Keep up the good work! :) ...I don't see the FC8600 in the shop. Is there a big difference between FC8600 and FC9000?
Thanks and really it’s just the barcode reader I think.
Best of luck with the new spot! Can’t wait to see the warehouse space! HP indigo maybe? 😍
Possibly!

We did not have it long enough to test that part. The white does get used kinda fast but no real data.
Like the new disposition but you should add more decoration like posters, wallcovering, decals...
It will give the printshop a nicer look.
We are waiting to paint the walls white with a fresh coat as we ran out of time :)
Great looking shop!
What printer do u currently use to print stickers? I just set up a Truevis roland sg2-300!!! I have some questions!

Congratz for the new building
where did you get your cores?
thank you
We now cut them down in the back
I am always curious..is there a way to move large equipment into a flex office space like this when it doesn't fit through a single front entrance door?
All fit through the front door standard 36” :) but we got the ok to put a whole in the back incasenlol
Missed the video but why did you upgrade to the roland and got rid of your latex?
We needed more resolution and a higher color range :) do miss how fast the hp nocked out prints tho.
Where is the babys place? I miss it! I had babys place in my printshop too but today my baby is 17 and I really miss that. Hi from Brazil! Peace!
Daycare is finally open here in California.
What do you think would be the best bet in equipment, starting out with less than $5,000?
If you were to go for labels a epson C6500 is what we used if it’s for stickers a BN20 is what we started with.
Congratulations! Does rolands will get smelly while printing ?
Berry little in our shop, almost not noticeable. If we where printing banners I would not get a Roland
i have 6 rolands :) nice machines
They sure freaking are!
Does the Afina machine cuts too?
Only the finishing system not the printers
Congratulations bro! I am from Chile and I would like to buy different materials for the afinia lt5c (the black material and the holographic material). Where can I buy it in the United States?
For the fastest way check out afinia webpage and a berry berry small icon in the upper right of there page says material :)
@@printshoptalk Oka, ¿is this the webpage? afinialabel.com/ icon does not appear
What’s the main differences between The Afinia L801 and L901
It can pause printing and not cut material.
Did you get rid of your hp latex?
Yes to upgrade to a roland with higher resolution.
Roland vs the Afinia L901 which is better for stickers?
For stickers the Roland for labels the afinia.

Epson are fire 🔥 as with the Roland’s. You will get better resolution. However it depends on your customer base.

Roland DG’s webpage or cut a 60” with a miter saw and a fine blade.
Why the Roland instead of the HP? On your previous videos I was going to get the hp 365 because of you
Is the Roland eco solvent?
@@alfredoojeda7977 all the research I’ve done says Roland is much more expensive in the maintenance side. Need a tech to do most minor repairs.
