This is a pacing exercise I am really going to be using when i'm putting my script to pages. I think keeping this technique in mind is going to help so much! Thank you for this content. This is gonna be a great help!
Feel like I’m back in college when I was taking interactive design 😂 presentation is super clear, even the way you “change your mind” partway through feels so organic, like actually working through the exercise along with us. Please, more of this would be fantastic ❤
Im so glad i found this. Not only does this seem like a fun exercise i feel like i learned so much more than i was expecting. Im pumped to give this a go.
Oh man if this isn't an incredible thing to have seen This just inspired me to wanna start making comics immediately You put things off when you don't know where to start, and now I'm just excited lol
oh my god, how did i not see this sooner??? holy grail! you should make short versions of long videos, and link the main video on them to advertise them. this is awesome. i need moreeee...
I started learning comics in 2001 and back then the only software available at a professional level was the Adobe Suite, so I'm still fully in the adobe pipeline because that's what I'm comfortable with--color in photoshop, letter in illustrator, layout final print file in indesign. Since then, obviously, we've gotten programs like procreate and clipstudio. I've heard the lettering tools in Clip are pretty good, actually.
I love this! I hope you do more! Are there any recommendations on limits or how to self-critique to make sure you're getting the most out of this and doing it correctly?
We need more long-form bad ink studios content :D
This is weirdly entertaining to me
Hey, weirdly entertaining is good enough for me! Sounds like something that could retain your attention...
YES LONG FORM BAD INK IS WHAT IVE BEEN WAITING FOR
I would watch hour long videos from them
@@badinkstudios yeeessssssssssssssssssssssssss
Great exercise. That planning then adding a panel to force yourself to think differently about the scene is really good!
Long-form! ❤ I much prefer choosing to watch a video (even if it's short) than stumbling across it while zombie scrolling shorts.

Thank you for being here! 🙏

Woah! My scripts are all written out panel by panel, but when i get to layouts this is gonna be wildly helpful 🎉

Always love it when i see a new video from you guys.
Keep up the great work 💪
Just saw your latest short video. Your art style is truly amazing.
I hope you can continue with the lessons! This is really helpful for those who want to learn the procedures like me, thank you so much!!
This is awesome man, please make more videos 🙏
This is really cool, I love this…! ❤
(Edit, I know that art programs aren’t everything, but I’m curious what programs do you use to make comics…?)

Check out our playlists
Love this
Good pacing😁
This looks way different than my script. My script looks poopy compared to this. Looks like I still have lots to learn.
I'm here for it.
There's no reason you HAVE to do your scripting this way. Really you're trying to get a comic. However you get there is up to you!
@badinkstudios will Lydia make a video explaining how she arts? I can write. And I'm going to own that I'm good at it.
But I can't art.
this was very helpful
what program do they use, I can't find them talking about it anywhere
This is also what im wondering
This awesome! Btw, I'm sure you get asked this question many many times but I was wondering, what fonts do you use?
Blambot fonts!
May I ask, how do I show a comic vignette/pannel about a flashback or memory? (Specially if it is like a surprise event or emotionally one).
I wanted to see the final product. 😢
What program did you use?
Illustrator
What are you using? Photoshop?
Is it using photoshop ? Or clip studio paint ?
Looks almost like Adobe InDesign but I could be wrong. I usually use Photoshop.
Illustrator! In my opinion it’s a lot easier to do these kinds of exercises with versus photoshop.
What font are you using?
Blambot fonts
Is this photoshop or something else? I need these features
Close! It’s illustrator
Thanks
