I still don’t understand how this movie didn’t get even so much as a technical Oscar nomination.
I've seen this movie so many times, so I know exactly what's going to happen but the scene with Alfred at Bruce's grave never fails to bring tears to my eyes.
So I also predicted the ending scene with Alfred viewing Bruce at the cafe…what I didn’t expect was seeing Selina with him….needless to say I was gagged. Such great storytelling! Great reaction!
I'm not going to lie: I was so excited when I saw this video come up in my Subscriptions. I know it takes a lot of time to do videos like this, so thank you for taking the time to do it, and for sharing your gifts. 🙏
This was the first movie i ever cried at. And i was in denial too because when Bruce showed up at the end i thought it was just a vision Alfred saw. I didnt believe it was really him until like months later when i realized Alfred never met Selina
I love these reaction videos so much. And your analysis of the characters is so insightful and in the case of Game of Thrones, near prophetic that I'm never annoyed when you pause to voice your thoughts. Please continue doing what you do, it's great. Also, love your makeup and costume in each video. It's a fun tie-in to the topic of the video and the effort you put in always shines through. A big fan from S. Africa.
Since you mentioned a younger Gordon, there's a show called "Gotham" which focuses on younger Gordon and the Gotham Police Department. It also talks about younger Bruce Wayne and Selina Kyle. It isn't related to the Dark Knight but still seems like something you might enjoy. (The show also features Morena Baccarin as one of the main characters)
I have watched maybe 20 reactions like yours and you are the first person to cry at the end. On daily basis I feel almost nothing. I can see a person burning alive on the news, it doesnt move me. But this movie did make me cry and I like to see I am not the only one.
Ya know, TDK is hailed as the best of the trilogy and one of the best films of all time, but honestly, in my opinion, even with the flaws here and there, this one is without a doubt my personal favorite. Tofu, you didn't cry for nothing, you cried because of how much the movie made you care about a character and that's all we can ask of a film. Great reaction as always.
The Dark Knight is considered the best of the three regarding the masterpiece of its script, Ledger's legendary acting, and the very complicated plot. This movie however knows that it's the last of three, and knows that the story should end and knew where it was going. The Drama was there, the villains were very solid, and the plot hit all the romantic and emotional notes. Both The Dark Knight and Rises, hold high spots in the list of the 100 greatest movies all of time.
I first discovered your channel through the batman begins video and watched the other trilogy vids. wow you're amazing. your joker outfit this vid is amazing. It's refreshing to see someone who isn't as versed in comics give a commentary because things that don't surprise comic nerds surprised you and it was cool to watch.

Ikr she has such funny and emotional quips but also really insightful ideas, she really gets it. Plus her video editing is A+. I wish she would make more movie reactions honestly I'm sadly not that much of a gamer
The plane scene was practical. There’s a behind the scenes footage of how they did it
lmao, "I CRIED FOR NOTHING!" 37:32
Tdkr is one of my all time favorite movie and to me the best in the trilogy. It completed Bruce's arc so perfectly.
Omg that whole reaction was so wholesome 😂 💜
i wont bury another member of the wayne family
" i cried for NOTHING" 37:33. Loved your reaction/commentary
That hurt my heart when I heard you address all the haters in your ‘Dark Knight commentary”. This channel is great and a lot of fun! Keep it up!
I legitimately cried at the end because after being a lifelong Batman Fanboy I was so happy to see he finally got the happy retirement he needed and deserved, a peaceful life with the woman I always wanted him to end up with, Catwoman.
I've loved these films for a long time and you reaction videos to the first two in the series were so enjoyable. I know it takes a lot of time to do videos like this, so thank you for taking the time to do it, and for sharing your gifts. 🙏
Nolan recomendation: the prestige with Christian Bale: Bruce Wayne and Hugh Jackman amazing movie and Michael Caine to : Alfred
The Prestige is a great movie, highly recommend
I love the Prestige! The twist in that got me so hard!
Yesssss this please I hope she reacts to it
oh yes, another brilliant movie by Nolan!
Her watching The Prestige would be fantastic.
"When is the wedding ?"
Ho my poor, poor, poooooooor little innocent mind... you're not ready.
The foresight you had throughout this video put a big smile on my face
This trilogy couldn't have had a better ending, what an amazing movie series, great reaction.
Tofu: alright last video was kinda depressing so let’s watch something to cheer us up! Title: Dark Knight Rises made me cry
Africa.
"The brilliant ass." What every guy thought when they saw her in the suit
"Japanese Netflix"
Is that what kids are calling it nowadays?
Ikr, I'm still used to calling it cock and ball torture.
Ghibli studios??
You mean hentai?
Finally finished the trilogy yeehaw, Glad you enjoyed it :)
One thing we learned from the dark knight series is that the hospital is the last place to hide for safety XD
Thanos and Bane are some THE most quotable villains ever.
"FOR YOU"
DO YOU FEEL IN CHARGE?
Joker
@lo l am saying heath's
dude so many quotes and memes came out from Nolan's batman, it's so fucking funny imo
I want a friend like you in my life.
These videos make me wish Tofu would just play ‘Batman: The Telltale Series’ already. It’s not a perfect Telltale game, but I think it’s worth her time.
I agree, she did heart a comment with the same suggestion. I really hope she does play it in the future :)
i was really looking forward to what you thought about that ending
DID NOT DISAPPOINT HAHAHA 1000/10 😂😭🙌🏻 super glad you finally watched this!!
After this, you should try the Arkham games since they're super good too.
The scene where Alfred tells Bruce he burnt the letter was very emotional to me. You can't cut that tension!
"Alfred forever waiting upon us so that we get home safely and he can tuck is into bed at night." Whaaaaaat are you watching it for the first time and make a line like this? Alright, you're the best and most funniest reactor.
if you pay attention you'll notice in the Alfred moment she was wearing his mother's necklace.
I loved how pissed she was for crying and ruining her makeup. 🤣🤣🤣 Girl, we all felt it.
"Nice view" 😂😂😂 happy pride month Tofu 🏳️🌈🏳️🌈
Happy Pride Month! 🏳️🌈 🥳
Fun fact. Part of this movie was filmed in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. I grew up and lived there when this movie was being filmed, and my friend from school is the kid who sings the national anthem during the football scene. Love your reaction to this movie, and love the joker outfit too!
“I dont need to be stressin”
Jump cut
“Oh i need to be stressin”
The blood transfution was so that if someone found the plane, they would think that corpse belonged to the doctor
You should play the Batman Arkham games if you really wanna enjoy more Batman.
She should play Telltale Batman :D
This is probably the most emotional reaction I've seen, see you crying to the ending actually made me tear up as well, the Alfred scene with Bruce and Selina safe together is literally life... #blacklivesmatter
When she said "much respect to all the coders out there" I felt that.
I'm so happy i found your channel. You have the kind of goofy enthusiasm and honesty of emotions i try to have in my reaction vids!
Tofu: I hope that what Alfred said about seeing Bruce happy somewhere and just acknowledging that he's happy comes true. Idk if Nolan would do that though.
Me: **Jim from The Office** **Looks at imaginary camera and smiles**
Man I think I should just get used to Tofu predicting the ending of movies ridiculously accurately
I like the The last of us reference “ Drugs, I sell hardcore drugs “
Gosh this was legit one of the best reactions of TDKR ever! 🙌🏻
did anyone else notice the emphasis on "taken" in the line "My wife was taken from me." by the guy in Taken?
This was a great reaction series. The Dark Knight Rises is also my favorite of the trilogy.
There was a time when it seemed there wasn't much like us who feel that way. I'm getting the impression that more and more people appreciate the movie and that it's their favorite of the three. I get emotional every time i watch it. So inspiring.
i enjoy the performances action and lines and music in rises the most..everyone is giving it their all...except the story writers...goyer and nolan dropped the ball a bit on the tightness of the script sadly but thats the only flaw
Nolan isn't mushy? It's official Tofu needs to watch Interstellar next.
No other reaction to this movie I've seen has had the Catwoman dropping the act at the start before, and I love your shock at it.
TheBehenaught When I watched TDKR in theatres, I remember everyone gasping at the shift in her character. I knew she would crush the role at that moment!!
At 36:50 , the seating arrangement is the portrayal of Joker's smile. A tribute to late Heath Legder aka Joker.
Hearing you rank this trilogy at the end made me realize... all combinations are possible and they'd all make sense. Keep up the great work!
This shit almost cured my depression. Can we get more movie reactions?
