on the premier de Cartier, the photochromic lenses, if I need to get prescription lenses, the stock lenses can't have it and they will need to be swapped out for a 3rd party lens right? then I'd lose the Cartier logo on lens.
So if i pick rimless frames and they're 53mm but i am a 59mm...would i be able to have them made?

Absolutely! I'm aware of the tech but it isn't released in the UK yet. So to circumvent that issue I'm flying to Milan in a couple of weeks where I'm hoping to meet up with the Zeiss team.

Hey do you have any diamond cut models available? I have seen some online that look cool and do you cut them yourself and choose the design freehand or is there specific ways of cutting? The ones i seen were called hurricane cut

Also, what color are the sticks or arms of the glasses in the thumbnail? They look like a white and black blend but idk if that's a thing? The white and black blend looks REALLY good. The one on the thumbnail is more of a blend. The one at 3:53 is moreso white and marbled which is usually the case for these. The one on the thumbnail looks better, like perfect.

I own 3 pairs of Cartier glasses, mybwife owns 2. We both have the old "Big C" sun glasses I ordered for our wedding. Our colors were Navy Blue and blush so i got us a pair of pink gradients for her and blue gradient for myself. We also have a pair of the "Lil' C" in the standard dark brown tint.
I just ordered my first pair of white Buffalo horn, "white buffs" with light brown transitional lenses. They are a light hazey yellow indoors, but outdoors, they are blacked out. Everything he stated was correct. I've wanted these glasses for about 15 years, finally in a place financially where i could actually afford them so i pulled the trigger. I told my wife i was considering sending them back after ordering them $3700 is alot for shades. They arrived when i was at work yesterday. It aounds cheesy when i put them on my face for the first time they felt so f'n good on my face 😂🤦🏽♂️. Totally reneged on returning them. They reallybdo feel amazing on your face, they hug the face and the Buffalo horn is soooo smooth.

Hard question to answer. On the shelf, yes, but if you've had them made they should have the gold caps.

Sorry, but no. I don't know of any companies who sell these tools to the public, but that's not to say they don't exist

What is quality glasses of cartier? How they life? I am curious because I bought glasses cartier made from acetate.
Hmmm, well the acetate frames are well made but certainly not the best in the world. Having said that I'd expect them to last around 4-8 years depending on how much care you take with them.

Basically yes, but it's based on Xtractive technology which has more base tint and works better in the car

Yep! Maybe not as durable as Horn but if looked after they will last a long, long time.

Can you guys do a video on how to make sure your pair of buffalo horn are legit
Because I don't deal with fakes I wouldn't really know what to look out for. Ours all come direct from Kering (who own Cartier). I never really authenticate frames for people. The only way to be sure is buy them from a legit dealer.
I saw someone from Detroit, Mi in the US, say that Detroit started the Cartier trend. In other words, Detroit popularized Cartier. I'm new to wearing frames. Is this true? Can you speak on the history of Cartier frames trend? You may have already spoke about it in another video.
Yea. They’re famous for popularizing them. But more specifically the white Buffalo horn. Because everybody wore cartier. But Detroit is known for The White Buffs. It’s their culture

I'd probably get a Santos aviator... maybe a rimless aviator as an optical pair and/or Santos aviator sunglasses. What do you think?
If you have aviator sunglasses then you should look at some of the tints to show them off I like the purple blue graduation with gold flash and I'm sure you would be as inventive 😎
If you go for rimless glasses then I think they need to be some modern c de Cartier 😘

Who makes the Cartier lenses? Most opticians in the US have their own lab & try to push mass produced lenses from generic brands.

It is so not true cartier is not all that Firstly its expensive I have a few pairs I bought for my wife and the color came off I went to cartier myself and they are not putting their name behind I will never buy another one rather buy a maybach hand made
If they are authentic Cartier then they are warrantied for 3 years from purchase. All you would need to do is produce your proof of purchase and they would take care of it for you (unless you damaged them yourself).
