Can you elaborate and explain, what do you mean when you say the sideways trending stocks need a greater than 10% fluctuation to be profitable? Specifically 10% from what, the price at the beginning of the trend?
James, really good stuff-thank you. I have always struggled with my WL, chasing too many set ups and always struggle to keep it simple! Great to hear that advice again!
Coach JB: Happy to report that I did the home work! I learned how to thinkscript and write code to backtest the Hull10/20 vs the 10/30 from 1994 up to the present. I'm not a programmer... just lazy I guess to backtest using the slow method 😂. Total returns were cut in half with the 10/30. Also noticed that, just being one day late in the entries made a huge impact to the returns. Learned so much from attending your classes, please know you are making a huge impact! Thank you! ~iggy
@@tradertalkswebcasts Oops, correction, the returns were cut in half (-46.3%) when I entered 1 day late. The returns from the Hull 10/30 were ~30% less compared to the Hull 10/20. Hull 10/30 was 2.8x more profitable compared to buy and hold. I was only doing long trades.
👍Hull MA crossover BUT Did not answer question: what other indicators might be used to confirm buy/sell? cahold cblohd obv rsi macd - PLEASE DISCUSS and explain.
the question "what other indicators might be used to confirm buy / sell" was what we are discussing in 2 wks when we compare two settings of the Hull. I will share that but listeners need to do the homework. When we compare the differences i will share what can be improved by using cahold etc.
