I have a couple questions. can I ask what size invisible thread you are using and what size color thread? is it the Merrow floss? if using merrow floss can you please tell me where you are buying it from as well as the invisible thread? also does it have the blades to cut the material like other surgers? and can you use it with thinner top thread to get a regular type overlock stich? I have one coming in and just wondering if I can use it to cover raw fabric edges.

What’s the difference between the mg-3u vs the mg-3dw-4
following - I have the MG-3DW-4 and looking to see if I can use it for patches, too.
The MG3u doesn't have a knife. And the stitch is really tighter than any overedge machine.
