Why does Disney doesn’t make 2D animation movies anymore I miss the old days like the brother bear
Tiffy Garcia i agree, i hope there will be a resurgence in 2d animation.
Unfortunally I belive their two latest 2d animated movies really flop on the box office if I recall correctly. While I agree and would love to see it again, its not viable from a companys perspective to "waste" money on 2d movies if next to noone will see it and they lose money.
I mean it’s cool for us viewers, but some people don’t like it. The animators need to work a lot harder and it’s harder for them.
G'day Tiffy! Hope you're day is going great!
I don't know if you're talking about traditional animation (hand drawn on paper) when you say 2D like Disney used to, but based on my research for wanting to be a 2D animator for Disney for the past 4 years, doing so is a very large process. I mean, CGI animation and stuff also requires a lot of work but personally, I don't think it has as much work as a cel animation. If you don't know what it is, it's pretty much traditional animation (hand draw on paper). Remember that animators need to draw frame by frame, and it can be such a difficult process. If one of the people that paint the drawings from the animator screws up, they'll have to redo the frame, which can cost money. Basically, 2D animation uses a lot of money and hard work (traditionally anyways). Digital 2D animation is a bit more easier. Hope this answers your question!
I agree! 2D animation is my passion😭✨
Iconic animators like Aaron, Glenn Keane, Frank Thomas, Ollie Johnston, just to name a few, should be considered Superstars. They contributed a huge part of pop culture. Heck, they literally made many of our childhoods with a few strokes of their pencils. As a young artist, I get emotional every time they lift a curtain to show things behind the scenes and their process. Their imaginations and the level of impact they have are simply amazing. Mad respect!
TJ Nguyen agreed
Same with me, these people made my entire childhood, their work is what inspired me to start drawing and I hope I'll be able to animate well in frame by frame one day.
James Baxter as well! He had excellent animation and perspectives!
You forgot James Baxter

This is beautiful. Not only you have passion on animation, but you are also an animal lover that inspires your project. Keep up the good work, Blaise!
I agree.
I were just struggeling with "how do i animate this desing on my animation"
And then you post this
God, thank you
Also sorry for bad english
A lot of anthropomorphism, got it.
Even when they're consuming the raw flesh of a long-dead animal they have to be related to humans in some way as to understand the situation easier and give the audience something to relate to, astonishing. I love it.
God this dude's art is mindblowing. I love your art, Aaron. I hope you have a good day!
woah i didn’t think to see you
I could have sworn that bear was an actual Brother Bear character for a second, without the context you'd have me completely fooled.
It’s a polar bear. But yeah it’s his style. In a way you’re not wrong
I absolutely adore Aaron Blaise’s artwork. His animation is the kind I desire to learn and see come back into the world of animation. The grit of 2D animation is warm and inviting, kind of like hearing an old record pop softly when you play it. It’s more authentic. Thank you for teaching others and inspiring me to be a better artist.
That guy does magic with his hands. Magnificent animations
I know that everyone passes away some day :( but when you do your heart, soul and spirit will live on through us young animators!^^ your work is awesome, Aaron Blaise. Please live for a hundred years!
This is what was missing from the new Lion King. Acting and personality
Exactly!!!!!!!!!!! Woooo👈
One thing this man said in another video that has stuck with me since I heard it was “put a little beauty back into the world”. Inspiring words to remember any day you can no matter where you apply them.
The bunny's flower was thanos snapped
Lol! It was!
Totally recommend his courses he goes way more in depth. It's invaluable.
My favorite exercise is thinking about the different ways a character could look saying the same line. Case in point: that clip with the "oh my" _could_ be flirtatious as you animated, or quite disgusted.
When you described making animations was like bringing your creations to life, I felt a wave of deep understanding sweep over me.
I'm still a beginner animator, and I plan on animating my beloved stories as a hobby in the future.
Your style of animation is so inspiring, I hope to animate as legendary as you one day Mr. Creature-Teacher! 😺
I do have a question though:
*What program(s) do you use to animate?*
I use TVPAINT
@@AaronBlaiseArt
Thank you! 👍✨
@@AaronBlaiseArt Can you draw Kim Possible?
I'm not an artist and don't want to be an animator in the future, but I still love your art and animations! :D It's so satisfying to watch you draw and animate
The way Aaron talks about art is so whimsical, really brings me back to the fundamental emotions, why we all love art in the first place ❤
I'm just starting 2D animation. Ironically my first one is a ghost cat jumping then primly grooming their paw. Given I have a cat of my own I intend to keep that cat charm, they practically already have their own personalities.
But I'll probably be saving some of your videos for refrence. After all the old Disney animation styles are partially my inspiration for wanting to become a 2D animator ^^~
I've finished the acting for animation course a month ago and was absolutely worth it!
You're awesome at teaching how to animate💖
You're a living legend to me, Sir
I can literally see his burning passion for animation right before my eyes through all his videos, especially this one.
You're amazing, Aaron! 💞❤
I absolutely love it when you upload. Your videos really make my day and I find myself replaying them when I want motivation. Thank you so much for being you!
Edit: just finished watching and am amazed with all this advice.
Hey Aaron!
I know your likely not to see this comment, as you have so many but I wanted to say that you've inspired me to try and find a way to animate! I dont have access to any animation apps at the time, let alone a computer strong enough to run the apps I would need, or a proper art tablet, but I'm saving up what little I can get! I love what you do, maybe one day I'll try out the classes if I get the things I need!!
Kaylee
Remember! You can always animate on paper!

When he talks about animation he has so much passion in his voice and that's so inspiring
That's why I always love animations,.
They just swept you up and spirit you away a different, magical world.A world where you can feel the creators through the charachters emotions ,moves, expresions. And when the composers, and voice actors give a piece of themseelf too...they create a wonderful story to all of us.
I love that y'all drew balls on the lion 1:51
I miss the old days. When amazingly skilled and talented people had the job of bringing us such beautiful art in such a beautiful media like movies
Holy moly! I've been looking for a channel like this!
I make my own stories and characters, when I get older I will probably write my own book, to me, my stories and characters are all really important to me, it's like creating your life, and loving it. I hope one day I will fulfill my dream to become a bestselling author
Animation rules!
"I am not mr. Lebowski. You are mr. Lebowski. I am The Dude!" 😂 Aaron this made my day! Thank you so much for creating this awesome contents and courses, and sharing your knowledge with us. Greetings from Germany
LOVE the new intro Aaron!! Thank you so much for all the insights and advice you give us! You're the absolute best!!
I wish I could draw like that and animate like that
It takes years of hard work to do that kind of stuff
Then get to playing around with it :)
You can do it! Anyone can!
I enjoyed watching this video and was actually interested in trying out the movie lines part of this video. It does seem fun to do, thanks for the video.
Everytime he shows an example of well everything i keep getting Robin hood flashbacks, that movie is great to review all these concepts :D
Your talent in animation is so amazing and inspiring! I'm planning on trying animation soon on the weekend since I have school.
I'm just- in awe of your artstyle? Your work is just- how? How is it so fluent? It's amazing-
Such an incredibly helpful and amazing video. Hard to know how to go about beginning animation without prior experience but his process makes so much sense and brought a lot of clarity to me. Thank you for this!!
Every video he makes reveals a new emotion in me
this is helping me become more inspired and power through my fears for drawing and animating.
Thanks for being such a inspiration Aaron
That breakdown into phrases is so typical for Disney... I'm not convinced it's really a good way of directing animation. Very theatre-play-like
Expertly animated and well taught
That advice on poses was golden. Thanks for sharing
This guy is so wholesome
I just come to watch this video the exact week I have to animate a musical scene and had no idea how to approach it, thank you so much
An absolute genious, what a mesmerizing artist...
Hey, I'm an animation student, and I really appreciated this video!
The Nine Old men we all know.
The Nine New Men are Glen Keane, Richard Williams, Aaron Blaise, James Baxter, Eric Goldberg.......the rest you guys can add if you know any.
Man u inspire me i never seen any art better than yours!
"like im creating somethinf from nothing" thats so wise man, im pround of u
This video reminds me of my fascination of animal Disney movies as a kid. It's like I'm watching real animal running around. Bambi, lion king, fox and hound, balto (idk if balto is Disney or not btw), lady and tramp.
I just love how they move, how they looked so real.
I really love when these animals run around just having fun. This video brings back the magic of animal animated movies.
Well animated movies in general is amazing btw.
Thanks for the video. The rabbit's memories was ... memorable. I think the Classical Prometheus rather than Frankenstein a modern Prometheus would be more descriptive.
the vulture animation is my favorite i love it so much!
I love your art so much. You are the main reason why I want to be a artist!
Same
SlenderWolf 559 Glad to see a fellow artist!
This man is literally my inspiration
Aaron you are amazing! Such an inspiring person!
The thing that always gets me when I try to animate is drawing a character from different perspectives, I can draw an animal in profile and not facing the camera, etc..
Get this man a documentary series
I usually animate by music! When I listen to music I always think of a scene then I animate it! Its great! I also animate when i make a story in my head lol :)
I'd loved to have you as my mentor during animation school.
I love animals! ❤ this is a reason why I love animation!
I love the idea of animation as acting
You definitely are my favorite teacher
Cool. Inspiring.
I'm so happy that I'm taking your lessons ❤️
You are amazing sir, thank you
I'm interested to draw more animals now, because of Aaron I want to learn/practice how to animating the animals 😍
Im learning animation right now and you are my biggest inspiration!
This was amazing! :D The lion tho gave me the chills lol, but I loved and enjoy this video. ^ ^ You and quite a couple of others inspire me so much! I hope someday, I can afford your course. Please keep up the good work, and look forward to seeing more videos like this as always. ♥ Also please stay safe and healthy, of course your family and friends as well. ♥
Amazing!!
The bear short makes me think of the Diciple bear Temis form the comic called "Roar Howl Run" on comic fury.
This is the best channel that i found for if you want animate Disney tradianimation, i want starts later a studio with that animation
This is fantastic. Very fortunate to benefit from your skill and experience. Thank you Aaron!

I'm in love with this
great content in this video! I enjoyed it!
I had a question : for those of us who want to become 2d traditional animators like you, where should we start?
how can we reach to that quality in our work?
your works are amazing!
how long does it take to get ready to work and of course get money out of that?
Thank you so much
Your animation is amazing, Your one of my inspirations :D
