- Here's my 30th ship-building guide in making the X-10 Thunderbolt. A Trackers Alliance light bounty hunter ship. Originally constructed by Nova Galactic just before the outbreak of the Narion War, the Thunderbolt was initially designed to serve in combat against rising tensions against Freestar Collective. Its advanced engineering and formidable capabilities made it a vital asset in the fleet of the United Colonies. However, as the war raged on, the vessel met a tragic end, destroyed in a fateful battle, and subsequently relegated to the annals of forgotten history.
Years later, the Trackers Alliance, an organization renowned for their relentless pursuit of justice and retribution, stumbled upon the wreckage of the Thunderbolt while scouting a remote sector. Recognizing the ship's potential, they embarked on a monumental project to resurrect it from the ashes. The restoration was both meticulous and innovative, incorporating cutting-edge technology and improvements to its top hull, enhancing both durability and speed. The ship was rearmed with the latest weaponry, transforming it into a formidable bounty hunting platform.
All parts can be found in Akila city with the Easier ship building mod. Or you can use your own landing pad. Prepare at least 400k to build this ship.

Damn this is a beautiful ship brotha..such a clean build. That Birds Eye view on the desert planet during the landing sequence is such a beautiful scene. And as always I’m loving the intros. They’re just getting better and better.
Hey thanks man I really appreciate it. The concept for this ship actually came from your Starfire build. If you check out the Nova Galactic classic version @0:57, you'll see it shares a similar shape in the rear and wing sections. I made some tweaks to the top hull and wing in the final version, which helped me come up with a backstory for it. Thanks again!

This tutorial answers soon many questions I have about ship building. The ship looks fantastic! One question though: Where can I find the decorative fuel pods? I don't have that category in my build menu. Thanks.

That game needs to be remade from scratch to me to ever think about return to it.
I have all the mods you have listed and in order and all updated. Here's my problem I have been having when ship building.
First right off the bat I cannot merge the cockpit because it clips and turns red. Since that is not a flippable piece I cannot force it in. So that's one thing, the next it when putting in the engines I cannot do the duplication and snap glitch. It is just red and won't let me merge. Once again the engines just like the cockpit are not flippable.
When I am watching your videos your parts are never red, they always snap together with no blockage. So what am I doing wrong ???? I am on Xbox and have tried turning the flip control button on and off and for both it still doesn't work. I love building ships and can usually get things to work by using the variant toggle and snapping or the flip glitch and snapping. But not in this case. Desperate please help. Lol
Download the mod Ship Parts Merging Enabled on Creations, it’s a great free mod that allows you to merge parts without needing to flip glitch anything. Once downloaded following the instructions and purchase the book The Art of Merging. When you activate the book it will give you the option of deciding how malleable you want your merging to be on a scale of 1-10. It’s a game changer of a mod that eliminates any need for overly complicated flip glitches. Hopefully that helps?

I'm still trying to figure out why it doesn't work for some people. The ship building tweaks mod runs smoothly for me when I make sure it's at the bottom of my load order. Big thanks to @langleymneely for suggesting an alternative mod; I'll give it a shot too.
Captain quarters on the opposite side doesnt take the bar out :)

I wanna use the razor leaf with this design or Hircine but I don’t want to lose the mantis dialogue events.
Redesigning the Razorleaf doesn't take away the special random events.
You can also use the new feature in the ship building tweaks mod to change which ship has the mantis transponder

The weapon duplication process seems unnecessary, as placing them individually would seem faster .
In fact you know what your doing , but you could have halved the video , if you constantly didn’t need to place then remove piece , you are actually giving yourself twice the work .
Not bad. Quite sleek. Except the engines seem a bit wimpy for a ship this size. Doesn't look like it could hunt more nimble quarries very well.
Also the brig looks quite small for a dedicated bounty hunting ship. What if you need to bring in a whole pirate crew at once? And i would question the wisdom of merging the brig with the armory. In case of an escape attempt, you want your captives as far away from any weaponry as possible!
Good point. This is only intended to be a light bounty hunter not a flagship one like my TRA-45. Actually, some of the vanilla 2x1 armory habs have brigs inside. I would like Grafpanzer to make a separate 1x1 brig and 1x1 armory.

Guess the bounty hunter flying this ship will have to limit himself to single person bounties at a time, then.
