With all the modern colour profiles and HDR we might have, no game is around that uses the colour and the shape with as much charm like this game does... and it's sad.
I know someone will reply to this comment mentioning examples that invalidate my claim, like Funselektor's racing games, but the point still stands that no modern, big budget studio, aside from maybe Nintendo, would ever provide something that is a feast for the eyes the way this masterpiece is.
