  • The Honda VFR750R, coded 'RC30', has had a more profound impact on the racing world than pretty much any other production bike. The RC30 is inextricably linked to the history of the Isle of Man TT Races and made its mark from the outset in the 1988 Formula One TT Race which Joey Dunlop won on an early version of the bike, setting an outright lap record in the process.

The style of narration feels like it's a nature documentary... And that surprisingly fits 😂

0:47 Why is it screen annotated an RVF when the RC30 was a VFR? The RVF750 was the RC45.

Just to add to the confusion the original RV750 was a Honda works endurance racer.
Joey Dunlop and a few others raced this at the TT before the RC30 (VFR750R) was produced.
Confusingly Honda called the RC45 an RVF as well!

From 1986 to1993 Honda they produced "prototypes" RVF 750.
In the 1994 end of prototypes and birth of the road RC45, but Honda decided to name it RVF.
I think Duke Video put this video up to celebrate Nick's win with his RC30 against SuperMac on the prototype RVF. 😉
