I remember the Festac 77 theme song very well. I was 10 years old when Festac was on, living in Jos, Benue Plateau State in those days. I loved the performances then even as a 10 year old. Sweet memories. Thanks for posting.

I remember this so well. We lived in festac from 1978. Our eyes were glued to our black and white tv. The days when Nigeria was a safe country to live in. We memorised the theme song. So much memories. I didn't even know this was online.

I was also a teenager then and still remember all the preparations made by my country's contingent, DRC, then Zaïre. Ô my Africa, ô my African diaspora, so why we always can't stick to and stick at what is good for ourselves so that we earn respect from others?

It was a folly event in the eyes of God, our deliverer. How I wish those days were celebrated in the name of God instead of deities who enslaved us in the first place. No surprise how things have turned out for all Blacks around the globe especially the economic woes our nation is facing currently. Heavenly Father, have mercy and heal our land. We, the people you created in your image are suffering. Establish a culture of Heaven on Earth. Our identity is only found in Jesus Christ.

God warned Nigerians but they were adamant.
Nigeria is a land that God cherishes so much but since they deviated from God by bringing idols, they must pay. Nothing can change this. God honors his word more than is name.
If you want to run is better you do... Because everything that is happening in Nigeria God knows.
