You personally can use a deep brown to add depth and to darken an eyeshadow colour because your skin is light but for people with deep skin a black shade is very necessary and also for those who are into a more grunge eye look it’s a staple, every eye palette above like 8 shades should have a black in my opinion

I'm interested in trying ur fave concealers, but for my 41 yr old skin, my faves currently for concealer are actually the Lancome Teint Idol concealer and the ABH Magic Touch (which I randomly purchased on a whim without even looking at reviews, and I *always* check reviews before buying *anything)* My fave powder is the Urban Decay Softening Loose setting powder. I usually don't wear powder because my "mature" skin has become dry in the last couple years, but that UD loose powder is amazing. I just never use any powder under my eyes.

As someone with deep skin I want more black shades in palettes and none of those pale white shades

idk if this would help but if the cushion foundation is dry, you can turn over the sponge cause foundation goes to the bottom half of the sponge/case, it is a bit messy tho

Those Roen shadows. The tiny circle after the number is “degrees”. So it’s 75°(degrees) and 52 degrees. In Fahrenheit I guess. 75° is warm like late spring. And 52° is a mild winter. So warm and cool palettes. I think it’s kinda clever. 😊

I completely agree with you on the new Charlotte instant palette! The black and white are such a waste of space and the looks just don't look as cohesive as the other palettes. Like the looks in the past palettes have a good light-medium-dark gradient but this latest one doesn't!

Have you tried the e.l.f. halo glow setting powder? I like the dewy makeup look but I have acne and textured, oily skin so I need to set my makeup but every other drugstore powder I've tried has looked awful, but this halow glow setting powder set my makeup without emphasizing texture and didn't look powdery at all, I was very surprised at how well it worked on me and I would want to see your opinion on it too if you haven't tried it and done a review on it already!

The last dark shade in my CT smokey palette isn't black . . . It's like a really dark navy blue. I love it and think it's super unique. Have you even swatched it? Or did you just assume it was black? I'm not being bitchy at all lol it totally looks black in the pan, I thought it was as well. But when you use it, it's actually a deep blue. It's just funny because I love that one and absolutely hated the Celestial Pearl haha I returned mine after using it twice. That topper shade was garbage and the duochrome was just ok. Definitely not worth the $56 in my opinion.
