It will open strangely for a lot of people, but I'd encourage people to come back to it. What I like to do is leave the decant/bottle in a separate room with a test strip, basically ignore the top notes, and see what comes of it over the next few days. The dry down in really neat imo. I have found myself coming back to it over and over again. I can see some people def liking this a lot, even as a top-rated scent in their collection, tho it won't have universal appeal. I'm fussy as hell, and I've come to really like it. P.S. I know people say "mint"...I get no mint at all. I *do* however def get a unique spiced tea, of the best kind. P.P.S. Really, you nailed it with the review, kudos. I am not a freshy fan at all, so agreed on that. It is somewhat artsy, but not so extreme as to be avant-garde; it is unquestionably wearable. I too would welcome this scent on a woman (but this coming from a guy who can't stand 95% of the female fragrance market).
I have tested them all and they are great quality fragrances. Chypre Mousse is a really wonderful herbal aromatic fragrance but I couldnt work out when I would wear it so I chose another in the end. I am sure I will be back for another...
How did I miss this review? Well I must say your opening was gorgeous artistic and just set up my anticipation for the entire review perfectly. Count me in on this one I love Chypres. From the great history of the house to the earthy beauty of Chypre Mousse, I am hooked on getting my sample to test out. Keep reviewing, you have the oratory gift that makes it interesting.
Also if you happen to get samples from Luckyscent try Knize Two (If you haven't already). I've tried Knize Ten but didn't like it- leather and oriental parts clash for me. Cheers!
I need to work on not popping my knuckles lol. Thank you Anita! I love it too. I haven't smelled anything like it either....so that makes it even much more unique. I love a house with such a history and tradition too.
Chypres are a favorite of mine, this one sounds amazingly complex! Would my nose even be able to handle it?! Normally I'm afraid of mint in perfume, but I do love Nuit Etoilee so I might have to check out a sample.
it's pretty minty. I've worn much more minty fragrances before though. it's not a mint dominant fragrance and I think the other notes really make it a unique one. worth sampling at least. :)
My husband used wear fragrance on a regular basis but then stopped for the last ten years, fortunately though he's come back around and gladly accepts any "manly" samples I can't wear. I'm thinking it's because of my recent perfume interest rubbing off on him.
This one definitely sounds like an olfactory oddball. Still, it's unique so I may request a sampled the next time I place an order at Lucky Scent. Nice review...
Yes sir! Unique in a good way. I love luckyscent's sampling offering too. Its the best way to get your nose on things you haven't explored yet. I will eventually get my nose on the entire line. I love the history and traditional / nostalgic take on scents.

+Lanier Smith If you get around to sampling Oriza L. Legrand please try "Foin Fraichment Coupe", I think it's the best of the entire line. Cheers!
Now that IS and Idea! Thanks Kevin!

Great video brother! I enjoyed it, first time I heard from this fragrance.
Given your description, this seems like it would be a great alternative to Thundra by Profumum Roma.
I knew VERY little about this brand. It sounds interesting. I'll try to sniff Chypre Mousse soon. Great review!
thanks sweetie! :).
