So my female cat, Jade, won't let me hold her more than 5 seconds. My male, Jordy, though loves to be held and will let me hold him all day.

You guys should try having chels wear trevs clothes and go close to her or hold her. Since she loves Trevor's smell so much, this could help out
They sleep in the same bed and spend every day together. I'm sure Trev's scent is already all over Chels and vice versa...
@@sophiefilo16 fair, but it's mixed with her scent which is gonna be the dominant one. Whereas clothes keep it on them. If you have a pet and they have someone else as their "mom", try picking up a shirt of theirs or whatever. My dog for example, reacts to this. Hence, the suggestion

I highly doubt putting on Trev's shirt will change Bella's opinion of her. We've seen Chels wearing Trev's clothes before, and we've seen Bella still reject Chels while cuddled against Trev. It's not unusual for a cat to only favor one member of a household; they're not dogs bred to love and trust everyone. In such cases, the solution is to learn the cat's behavior and triggers, cater to its needs, and get the favored person to create distance so that the cat will need to look elsewhere for affection and fulfillment. Wearing the shirt of the person you sleep next to every day has never been recommended by any professional I'm aware of...

I have 9 cats but our youngest, Angel, is a HUGE snuggle machine. He smothers me in my sleep on my face and neck and is a little too affectionate lmao. Every cat is different with displays of affection, so I'm sure Bella will just open up more to Chels as time goes on. Already seeing improvement. :)
Bella loves daddy because of his scent, whatever that maybe..also if you see the video when bella arrived Trevor stayed with her all day, cradling, babying, and playing with her while Chelsea went to work. Don't feel bad Chelsea, Cooper and Koda love you very much. It's a girl think and there daddies..

Listen, my family's black cat loves my oldest brother, any time he comes home for the holidays or whatever she only stays by him; it takes him literally leaving for her to want to sit with me, and even that took _years_ to happen...
Some cats hate everyone, some cats love everyone, and some cats have their person that nobody else will compare to; unfortunately for Chels, Bella is the last one 😂

Cats are such complex creatures. We used to have a cat named Niobe that only liked my brother. She wouldn't let any of us carry her and only 'tolerated' our affection. But one summer my brother went away for a school trip that lasted about 2 weeks. For days after she was even more grumpier than usual, then one night I was scared awake 'cos she'd jumped onto my bed and then settled herself onto my pillow right by my head. I didn't move at first 'cos I didn't want her to leave, but eventually I fell asleep.
The next day she was allowing me to cuddle her and carry her around and I was ecstatic! Then time goes by and my brother returns. I thought she was going to go back to her usual ways but she didn't. She still loved him the most, but allowed me into the circle of her trust. The thing my brother got annoyed at tho is that she would no longer sleep w/ him. She always came to my room from then on. 😁 Of course, the rest of the fam was jealous that she added me but no one else. And she stayed that way for the entire 10 years of her life.
Btw, she was also an abandoned kitten when we got her. Dropped off at our door, as well, back in 92.
Chals is so brave. Remember the SCS episode where Chals took all the dogs and Bella to the vet ? Bella turned beast mode. Chals literally had to call Trav to come help with Bella.

The house now has 4 cats instead of just Cole who looks like Bella, and Marmalade a gold and white cat. Some really fun videos showing great creativity with playing with their cats, building play stations and toys, etc. Have fun !

Guys thanks for the videos, even went back to when Chelsea & Koda first came in the picture, you guys do a great job of pulling your viewers right into vlog.
Chelsea should try the long blink with Bella when she looks at her. It lets cats know that everything is ok and calm. Do it every time she approches Bella and speak in a low tone, almost a whisper and slow blink. It will take a while for Bella to get it. If I were there, I could explain better.
I had two cats whoe were sisters from the same litter. One was white with scatterd tabby patterns (named Mint) and was nice and loved to be around everyone (when we were outside), petted, picked up etc. Her sister, pretty identical to the black cat in your video (except white coating on her chest), was nice as well for the most part. She liked to be fed, petting was okay; occasionally. But it you ever tried to pick her up, she was prepared to fight to the death each and every time. Her birthname was Spice, but within a few months she was permantnently named Scratchy. The black ones are always a little on the crazy side, loved her just as much though. R.I.P. Kitties.
