I absolutely LOVE the way he smiles while playing certain passages. This man was a musical hero.

Chet said, "Paul can play anything I can"....! High Praise from Mr. Guitar...

He too was masterful! He didn't need to play in the shadows of anyone!

Not enough superlatives to say how great this is. Very nicely done.

Smooth! He was so underrated in my opinion! I guess that could easily happen when you played alongside the Great Chet Atkins!

As Chet aged and lost some of his sharpness and dexterity, he relied on Paul to cover for his mistakes which helped him to maintain his confidence on stage. Actually I think Paul was better than Chet at that juncture as he was teaching Chet some new licks. Chet was a humble man who never thought he was too good to learn from others.

@@unihughes All this is not true. Until Chet became ill the last time he lost none of his abilty. I dont know where this kind of crap started. Paul was a good friend of mine and he didnt need untrue stuff to make him great. He was anyway!

You can't play in Chet's band for that many years and not get that good. Look at Steve Wariner's tribute CD. He played bass for Chet until he "fired him cuz he got famous".
