Yes Y'all, I finally caught up with Ms Marry Candace Hilligoss at 84 years age younger 2018. She kept herself in good shape and health condition. Standing on her own two feet, no crutches or walking cane nor wheelchairs or motor chair, etc. Her hair is still blonde vs gray and she looks lovely. A sure SOULMATE!!!
Miss Hilligoss carries, so deftly, the entire production on her back. My mother found Carnival of Souls in the TV listings circa 1965. My mother was an accomplished artist and for Halloween '65 two of my younger brothers went out costumed and made up like Mary Henry's tormentors from the film. Best wishes to Miss Hilligoss.
I enjoyed spending time over a few days with her in 2000 at a convention, where we were both guests. She was an easy person to hang out and chat with. I wish I'd stayed in contact with her. Interesting nice person, an interesting unique film.
She's still gorgeous. I wish she'd star in another film or at least do a cameo. I think Carnival of Souls is the most beautiful film ever made. Every frame of the pavilion is so lovely that I'd like to have a series of prints to hang on my wall, especially the one where Candace Hilligoss is framed in silhouette in front of a triple arched window.

She is a real beauty.
Amazing. I think the movie was ahead of its time. She did an amazing job! I wish we had more of her in print. She is a true star.
I've seen 'Carnival of Souls' more times than any other movie, and I never grow tired of it!
*Miss Hilligoss shines.*
