Hey!!. I am currently working in the IT Dept for an MNC in India. I wish to visit Ireland to meet my sister and stay there for a few months. I wish to work remotely for the same company during my stay in Ireland. I just found out that if it visit Ireland witha tourist visa, i would not be legally allowed to work in Ireland. In this case what can be done? What type of Visa or Work permit do i need to get so that i can work remotely for the same company during my stay in Ireland?
You can work for your Indian company, that's not an issue. You can't work in Ireland, meaning you can't get paid for an Ireland job. But as far as I remember, you can only stay for a maximum of 90 days in Ireland on short stay visa.
Hi. This is very informative video you have made. Thanks a lot.. So just one question in my mind.. Does it mean if our job does not fall into the critical skill category we can not be eligible for General Work Permit or there must be any way out to stay in ireland on general work permit visa for 05 years? Looking forward to hear from you..
If your job doesn't fall under critical skills, u are not eligible for critical skills employment permit but u can still apply for general employment permit :)
Hi, please can you help me? My husband renewed his general work permit after 2 years, but he is not happy anymore at his job, he wants to change jobs, does he have to wait the 12 months like the first time or he can try another job before the twelve months? Thanks
So..wait...I have 23 contract role as a graduate BA, pay is over 30k. So I can apply for the general permit..not the critical permit that means. Correct?
It shouldn't be a contract, even if it is, it should be for 2 years. If your pay is 32k or more, then check the critical skills job list to make sure if your job falls in that category. Otherwise, you gotta go with a general employment permit :)

Well, for starters, you can do a masters in whatever field you wanna do. Like I know people who did MBA and then a masters in computer science. Some universities ask for experience of some sort before giving out an offer letter. And I think management has good scope in Ireland :)

My job is related to what I studied, can I apply and get the critical skills visa or general work visa? What do you advise.
Firstly it depends on how many months after you graduated you got the job. It it's within 12 months and your job falls in critical skills employment list or something with healthcare then yes you can. Plus I think your permit will get rejected if you don't have a permanent job. I would suggest that you apply for an extension of your stamp 1G until your probation period is over. Then you can apply for a permit but your salary should be 30K (unless your job falls in critical skills) Maybe request your employer to increase your salary telling you need to apply for a work permit :)
@@the_v_vibe thanks for the advice. Yes it’s within 12 months when I got the job. However due to the new rules, when I was getting my stamp 1G, they said it’s not guaranteed to renew the stamp 1G for the second year if you already have a job and that the employer should apply for the work per mit. If you have Instagram, I can send you the document the immigration gave me which is updated 2022 and beyond. Hopefully they can renew the 1G if I am still in probation. The immigration new rule is that it’s not automatic to renew the 1G for the 2nd year, only if you provide proof of not yet getting a job in your field.
