Problem solved with the LED light not turning off when the key is switched off. I just swapped the green and red wires. So the voltmeter red wire wire should go to the Display red wire and the voltmeter green wire should go to the controller red wire. The black wires remain the same in your vid. Thanks mate and hope this helps. You no longer need to remove the battery in order for voltmeter LED light to turn off.
Nice job. Been wondering about this myself as I did the same thing as above. So will change those wires around as I'm about to also wire in a second battery. I'm in Oz as well ;)
@@miguelrodriguez0102 tap into the existing black wire by removing some of the plastic cover and I soldered it onto it. No need to cut it right through if you don't need to.
Was looking around to see if this mod was done as I was also concerned about this bike not having a key ignition when I bought it 2 weeks ago. Thanks for the informative video!
Hey mate, totally love your work - awesome job! I'm from Australia and will definitely be doing this to my Roadrunner too. Just a quick one, what is the volts when your fully charged and what volt does the battery cut off?
I tried to install one, and now my e-scooter just beeps and displays e0. The brake light doesn’t come on either, but works with just power to it. The headlight can still be turned on though it’s beeping but no power to the motor. What do I do to fix it?I have a controller with no wires, only pins, in case it helps
How do you know how much battery power is left reading the voltmeter. The lcd screen shows full battery but the voltmeter shows 51.3. I'm assuming 51.3 is not percentage of battery power left. What does the 51.3 specify in regard to amount of battery power left?
Hey mate, can you please advise what the effects will be if I were to connect the red wire from the voltmeter to the display and the green wire from the voltmeter to the red wire on the controller. It's basically the opposite of what you've done. I've watched several videos that have this type of connection and their Voltmeter LED turns off when the key is turned off. Can this reversed wiring break my controller or the display unit if ever, specifically for the Roadrunner? Thank you in advance and look forward to your feedback.
My swagtron Eb5 controller has 5 wires for Throttle connection (black, red, blue, yellow, white). I bought a voltage keylock and it comes with green, blue, yellow, red, black wires. Any idea which controller wire connects to new throttle wire?

Does this actually work ?
@@miguelrodriguez0102 yes it does. I have the voltage meter turning off just fine on my RR.
@@billybanana thanks and regarding the black wire how did you connected ?

You did a better job than all that voromotors engineers and workers hahaha

Great video. Looks like for the RR v2, they went with HIGO connectors. So I'm trying to figure how where I should cut in. Any thoughts? Thanks.
Thank you thank you thank you

Where can I find that type of bag you have in your emove roadrunner v2? pretty sick!

Can you remove the key after you turn the bike on because I want to do that with my bike
