New Republic Legion 37 Captain Rev: After the Republic fleet liberated the space over Wayland, we were told our mission was to liberate Wayland from Empire of the Hands remaining forces we were sent just to get in and get out with little to no casualties, but when we landed all hell broke loose our unit came under heavy fire the moment we reached the landing zone all we saw was dead soldiers and destroyed tanks all over we pray to whoever at that moment not the get shot realizing Captain Shack ordered us to stay and hold instead of retreat we just grab our weapons and held but at what cost our entire unit was destroyed I was the noly survivor here to tell the tale of the First Battle of Wayland.
Just a heads-up: Nebulon B-2's don't spawn in fighters, but are superior in all other ways. Also, Gyndine and Dathomir are capable of constructing Capital Shipyards.
Also in the VERY Southwest, a planet called Sluis Van(May not be Spelled Correctly) can also build capital ships. The ones I know are Mon Calamari(According to the game, some call it just Calamari lol) Fondor, Sluis Van, Dathomir, Syca, and... I'm out of ideas from the top of my mind. Edit: After looking at the video a few planets slipped my mind. Kuat and Yaga Minor are also planets that can build capital ships. This comment is really listing all of the planets that can build capital ships
Another problem with this mod that wasn't present in Republic at War: The AI will turn around and show their ass at the worst possible moment, in an attempt to run away. I guess the mod authors didn't want the AI to be as suicidaly stupid as it is in RAW, but they've also robbed them of initiative.
Actually, that's not really a change in behaviour. The game's AI (as in, vanilla and any mod) basically is programmed so that if there's a station, the ships will always stay at it. This is just as true in RaW as it is in TR, however since our starting point markers for the defending forces are farther out, it's more obvious (in RaW they start within the range, in TR they start outside of it). In 2.2 (the upcoming release), we've removed that function unless there's a Golan present, in which case they'll try to stay within range of their Golans.
Shack, when I was playing as the empire remnant, I figured out that a fleet of 40 tie defenders can destroy just asbout any fleet, including the super Mon cal, executor, and the sovereign
This ep makes me think Shack should be watching Bane's vids, but at the same time I respect that Shack doesn't want to spam the battlefield with V-wings
The Vicount's designed for fighting SSD's, so with a small support fleet, he probably could've taken down that whole fleet with far fewer losses. Besides, if he lost it, he could easily afford to build a new one.

Heres a tip Captain Shack, NEVER COMBINE A GROUND FORCE FLEET WITH A SPACE FLEET! It causes your Reinforcement box to glitch up thus preventing you from calling in certain space units, you made this mistake in Republic at War to.
So many lives were lost against that Executor-class Star Dreadnought and her support fleet due to bad leadership. Let us mourn the lives that were lost.

In the previous episode, you very briefly remembered that you have been told a billion times you have virtually ALL the capital production worlds, and yet you quickly got distracted AGAIN even while paused by the front-line fighting. And you have yet to do anything about the multitude of planets you have that lack ground and space structures, ESPECIALLY the capital worlds that can make you cap ships... and here you are even high-lighting them and completely missing their needs, ignoring them all the same. It's so grating watching this, it's one of the most basic things to remember :D
all fighters, interceptors, etc. except for the Y-wings can be set to hunt for enemies. use the ability. especially with free units. that will avoid them just sitting there doing nothing while they could rip apart enemy ships.
PrimeTime PT Ich bin He has addressed this before and the reason he doesn't use the "Hunt" ability is because for some reason the ships will go way off the map and to the corners of the world instead of actually attacking enemy ships
If you read "the courtship of princess Leia", it talks about Zsinj. That book is actually where Dathomir was first introduced along with the night sisters. The book is legends now, and not considered cannon.

Some tips about the Viscount 1. it is best to spawn it in the middle of the fray, not far away, the main reason is it is too slow to catch up to most large ships. 2. They should be with an escort always, as the Viscount could easily be destroyed by a flexible and heavy hitting fleet. 3. there are certain types of ships that have long range scanners(example lancer frigates, Carracks and any type of star destroyer, that means you could see the whole map and that the first tip could be done a lot easier, so bring in those types of ships first

C'mon Shack! You still have about 1000 Pop Cap for producing ships and/or ground troops left!!! and not to mention the over 400,000 credits you currently have banked up... Every planet with a capital ship yard should be pumping out as many ships as they can as fast as they can in every other planets with a light or heavy Shipyard should be producing the best ships available to them Non-Stop. which is not to say that your current force is not strong enough... It is. But, with a steady stream of kickass capital and support ships, you should be able to mop up all remaining resistance fairly quickly!! Anyway, still loving this series! Can't wait to see more. And in fact I'm about to go play it myself right now! :-D
Shack, the t4-b was an upgrade from the t3-b, but even though the t4-b was very powerful and effective, it did not completely surpass the t3-b, so both tanks were used by the alliance during the war to great effect.
Wayland should be your infantry production planet, it is insanely cheap to build them there. Why don't you ever build repair stations during ground combat?
Lord Imrahil he has no real need to build repair stations as he alsways as more than enough of vehicles so it is far faster just to bring in replacements instead of repairing
He often wants to bring specialist to repair, but does not because of the population cap. So why not build a repair station instead. Especially because he uses mainly tanks without shields
Lord Imrahil the second reason is the fact that the repair station and the specialist for that matter are sooo slow at repairing. I believe the specialist repairs 2 percent health per 3 sec and the station 5 percent per 2. They are just to slow

Shack, make sure you build up your defenses, because that unknown faction might be the yuuzahnvong (it's an actual thing pronounced you-zahn-vong) but in the legends material they destroyed the empire and New republic, basically if you thought the empire the hand was bad these guys are a hundred times worse, but they might not be in the game so just be very careful.
Hey Shack, have you tried assigning a wing or two to protect your more vulnerable ships as well as stations or locations using the Guard button? I found it worked well because if any enemy enters within a certain radius of the initial click the units automatically engage.

so I finally purchased this game after loving watching it's being played for so long. considering you need the original Star Wars Empire at War, in addition to the forces of Corruption expansion pack... I was figuring it to be either a little bit pricey or just a pain in the ass to procure. However I was very pleased to see as of two days ago steam has the Star Wars Empire at War gold pack meaning it has forces of Corruption included with it for a whopping 4.99 on Steam! best five bucks I ever spent!

just learned of this game. love the videos. my only complains are tactical. should've learned the leap frog method, like we used in the usmc. works in infantry and air defense of planets. otherwise, entertaining videos.
What bad about this mod is the shields they Take so long to take out shield of smaller ships which should have weak shields and that bombers are absolutely useless as they cannot use proton torpedoes to take out hit points of ships that have shields like vanilla game bombers work
You grabbed the Nebulon-B 2 not a Nebulon-B. The obvious difference is that Nebulon-B has fighters and Nebulon-B 2 doesn't but also that Nebulon-B 2 ships have two wings under the front module and the Nebulon-B only has one. Love your vids btw. Keep up the good work. :) :) :)

I keep having a compatability issue with the expansion because im using windows 10 and it causes the game to start up but just as a black screen with audio so cant play any mods cause they all use the expansion and not the base game;. any help with fixing this issue would be appreciated thanks!
You are playing as the New Republic so maybe that's why you said republic at war. Also look at you build cap and look at you wealth. You need to start cranking out ships and reinforce some of your border worlds or else they might build up and break out again.
Are you using a graphics mod because I don't remember the game looking this good? Let's just say it didn't age well. Nonetheless a great RTS and Star Wars game.

Captain shack if you want to end the war quickly. You need to use dreadnaught class heavy cruiser because they can out gun a imperial star destroyer.

healthbars are always slightly above the SHIP. if you can't see the healthbar just move the camera above the ship.

you have to scroll up really high away from a ssd to see its health. same goes for viscounts. hover over it and keep scrolling up til you see it

nazmul hoque bombers are not useless, they still do much damage. they got nerfed because the mod authors didnt want to make bombers swars too powerful

You grabbed the Nebulon-B 2 not a Nebulon-B. The obvious difference is that Nebulon-B has fighters and Nebulon-B 2 doesn't but also that Nebulon-B 2 ships have two wings under the front module and the Nebulon-B only has one. Love your vids btw. Keep up the good work. :) :) :)

how did you get this mod to work? I keep having a compatability issue with the expansion because im using windows 10 and it causes the game to start up but just as a black screen with audio so cant play any mods cause they all use the expansion and not the base game;. any help with fixing this issue would be appreciated thanks!

You are playing as the New Republic so maybe that's why you said republic at war. Also look at you build cap and look at you wealth. You need to start cranking out ships and reinforce some of your border worlds or else they might build up and break out again.
Are you using a graphics mod because I don't remember the game looking this good? Let's just say it didn't age well. Nonetheless a great RTS and Star Wars game.

DB6195 i had the bug and used their repair tool and it worked just fine, your antivirus software probably just gave you a false positive..
