I would like to see it make it to 30k with no major failures. I believe its possible. PSA has done a great job. I would spend extra for a rifle that would last.
Me and you both bro ! The one that I had before the warranty did do pretty damn good , I just wish I could have kept the barrel and the firing pin ! 😠 but o well , I have high hopes for it this time and it seems like it’s doing much better than the older parts imo .
Two things I wished they did with the ak lineups is a better firing pin and I also really wished they chrome lined the brakes mine does the same thing ever since I shot corrosive out of mine otherwise it’s a solid rifle yours looks good as well !
Yeah the brakes kind of suck just because of the finish , but it hasn’t failed me yet and mines had a lot of use . They didn’t give me a new one either when they warrantied the rifle , I just wish they had given me back my apex firing pin 😞. They are cheap but I’m also not made of money 😂… I’m not sure what kind of resources it would take to chrome line all the brakes but I’m sure that it would have definitely upped the overall price of it and I would have paid for it !
Paint it camo with rattle cans then go over your paint job with Brownells Alumahyde clear coat. Will last much much longer than just spray paint
Update on my 103. I ordered spare firing pins from 2 different companies and none of them fit. I reached out to PSA about it and they sent me a spare and sure enough it fit. So now im confused as hell, I wanted a solid spare firing pin not another PSA. The romanian firing pins are sold out on Apex. I guess I have to wait for them to come back in stock. Have you tried any other firing pins than the romanian that worked for you? Maybe it's just my gun
Hey bro sorry I didn’t get back sooner here’s what I know and would do . So the apex worked the best for me , but they are out of stock 😞… I have never gotten a Romanian pin that didn’t work , they have always been just a hair to big and protrude a little more . But I’ve never had an issue with them ! So the pin won’t fit in your bolt at all ?? Shave it down a little if that’s the case and it should run … if that still doesn’t work I’d buy like 3 from psa and run those until apex comes back ! I personally run a magpul pistol grip so I have a compartment in my grip and that’s where I keep my spares in a ziploc , along with the battery’s for the sig .. My psa pin took a shit early so I took a pin out of the wasr I don’t run and it’s rights and gets caught up a little bit . But the more I run it the more it free floats . Hope that helps bro !

It’s definitely in house , but from what I understand and what the rep told me in the email (which was very vague 😑) is that they upped the heat treatments and from what I’m seeing and from the old pics I have to the rifle now , I do see a difference . I just hope it holds up 😊 🙏
I’m considering buying this rifle just to compare it to my KR-103.
I bought a psa premium upper early 2019… after about 4K rounds the cam pin channel was beat up pretty bad. Idk if the psa shit just has loose tolerances,shitty materials or a combination of both. I built my 10.5 on a bcm stripped upper, it has right around 4K rounds on it now 3k of them being suppressed and there are no marks in the upper. I’m starting to be of the opinion that psa makes decent stuff but not really made for any type of serious use, i retired the psa upper and put the FN barrel in a contract overrun dog bone upper. I think i asked you this before but do you have a head space gauge? Might be cool to kinda do what rob ski does and every 1k rounds check parts wear and headspace. Could use a sharpie and mark the gauge then next time see if it closes anymore.
Also have you ever thought about filming horizontal?
That’s crazy because I had problems with my 10.5 as well with the feed ramps 😠, I had to polish the heck out of them then I was good to go . But man O man that thing gave me he££ , my main reasoning for buying from them is that they mess up but listen to us then make it better . For instance the gen 1 and 2 ak lineups, the older ars they used to make and the customer service and many other things I can’t think of from the top my noggin … I know they aren’t radian , bcm , noveske or any other top tier manufacturers but they continue to upgrade and strive to do better . Unlike I.O or century or delton or Olympic arms and many more I cannot think of either … they are trying to keep the cost low and one of the only ones this cheap that is willing to fix an issue they messed up on , I think that’s awesome ! I just want them to build me a weapon that’s war ready and that will never quit , it don’t have to have all of the bells and whistles I can add them myself …
Don’t shoot me but Im not following you on the horizontal filming please explain 😂 … I know I do need some saami gauges they are 3 times more expensive than what I bought them for over 5 years ago , idk I guess I was just praying I’d find mine by now 😞

@@OPERATORonaBUDGET oh for sure … and i agree they’ve come a long way in making shit better and listening to customers. I just wish when they have a “premium” listing it was more than just a good barrel. I know psa can make quality shit my 8.5 got the piss shot out of it… i had 10k rounds on it before i sold it to my brother and he shoots it quite often and it still looks fine. But then my 16” premium upper started beating it’s self to death around 4K. If they put more QC into shit and tightened up their machine work I’d gladly pay a few extra benjies for something i could have a little more faith in. I wouldn’t even own an AK from century,IO or Riley same as i wouldn’t own an AR from delton, diamondback or radical. I’m sure all those companies are capable of building good guns too but I’ve seen way too many failures both online and in person from them. So i definitely agree psa will do shit to make stuff better… if they did more QC work i think it could go a long long way.
@@davedriscoll7750 a co worker was talking about them the other day… i couldn’t find a whole lot of info on them. What i tell everyone looking to get a “budget” gun is the same thing i tell anyone buying a top tier gun. Invest in ammo and shoot it… learn the platform and watch the wear. I take my rifles apart about every 500-1000 rounds to make sure they look good still. I’m not counting on anything to defend my life and the lives of my family if i haven’t shot the piss out of it. If it’s just gonna be something to go out on the range with and have some fun then that’s a different story.., I’d say grab one and have some fun
@@itsamk18-ish yeah I’m with you on the qc issues 100 percent , they could be a bad a$$ go to if they tightened up the loose ends ! It’s crazy to me because one of the most hated ar15s out their is the m&p15 and I’ve owned it since the first month it came out ( when they actually started being distributed) , it’s budget as he££ with the cheapest parts possible and its a damn runner . I would definitely trust that thing with my life for sure , I did change the barrel on it and it almost shoots .5 moa legit . Idk I’m no pro or nothing but damn for it being a budget option it sure is a runner !! That’s crazy that it started beating itself to death like that , I had a barrel that did something similar but it was from g.l.f.a , that why I still have the lower and just built around it the way I did . Did they fix the 16” barrel for you ?

Naw man 😏 I wish I did , it’s like I tell my wife some guys have different hobby’s and mine just consists of shooting ! I see guys who spend a hell of a lot more than me on ammunition etc. I try to keep it bare minimal for now and get a case a month just to keep the psa running for now !
That’s what I thought about the aks parts , but 1100 rounds through an ak isn’t that much either so we will see what it looks like when I get it to 2k 😊 . 🤞
