The complete 2 hours training is divided into eight steps. After watching many videos, finally, I found your tutorial is best in the sense you explained every detail with full justification and reasoning which is way different rather explaining the usage of tools which everyone can do. You had an oversight while reading the data for "Ordinary reinforced concrete moment frames" @ 1:19:43 . The actual values for "Response Modification Coefficient, R_a," "Overstrength Factor, Ω_0^b," and "Deflection Amplification Factor, C_d^c are 3, 3, 2½ respectively for Ordinary reinforced concrete moment frames . Besides there are some minor oversights in the video.

Sir I have a small request. Please make a series like construction of g+2,g+4 storey building. You can take storey according to your wish does matter whether it is g+2 or g+4. Please make a series on complete structural drawing using staad pro... including foundation, plinth beam, column, beam and slab. I'll be grateful to you. Complete building design using staad pro. I like your videos get to learn many things. Thanks! 😊 . Though Staad pro is multipurpose software but etabs is more user friendly. You can design any type of buildimg ranging from one story to a skyscraper. Follow the steps which I have shown and you can design any type of building project.

In the Seismic loading topicm The Response Modification Factor for Ordinary reinforced concrete frames is R=3, Sys ovr omeg = 3, Deflection = 2.5, in accordance to ASCE 7-16 page 91. But you are using R = 8, Sys ovr omeg = 3, Deflection = 4.5, i think which is wrong
These factors corresponds to the type of detailing used in a structural element. And based on detailing type, there are different moment resisting frames. when you use 8, this means that the analysis is performed considering special moment resisting frame.
SMRF Have connections between beams and columns that are capable of transmitting both gravity loads and lateral forces through bending moments. This enables the frame to resist and redistribute the seismic forces effectively.
SMRF are designed to exhibit ductile behavior. Ductility refers to the ability of a material or structure to undergo significant deformation before failure.

Sir after every video I get a doubt .. after analysing the structure from all the SFD , BMD how to understand that it is a safe structure . I mean we can go for construction .. what is the uses of all SFD and BMD
SFD and BMD are very important diagrams which shows the variation of internal forces which can cause shearing or bending effect in a structural element. These diagrams are kind of X-ray of an element so we can figure out what is happening inside the structure when a member is subjected to any external load.

You took 6 Inches wall as 0.6 feet which should be 0.5 feet
1) If you are adding any superimposed load to "Dead Load" load pattern, in that case you have to check "add to existing loading". Otherwise, the default option "Replace Previous load" would not make any changes in the loads when you add load to other load patterns.
2) Haven't seen that part though, but its a minor change i believe.

What is the difference between using link-type elements or using offset with the function insertion point for modeling beams and columns that don't have the same axes?
LINK TYPE ELEMENT MUST BE MODELLED TO DEVELOP LOAD TRANSFER MECHANISM WHICH RSULTS RELIABLE RESULT.
How to take moments into account if the top story column shows higher rebar area due to moment ? Which reinf area is the taken to design the same colum throughout floor?

There are many ways to do it. Either Manual calculations or revit software is mostly preferred for the calculation of quantities.

if you want to apply one way slab manually, in that case, choose slab type as membrane and select special one way distribution. if you allow software to do the load transfer, this is to be done bases on relative stiffness of a member which is computed by software.

i have doubt in slab meshing , by using automatic meshing adjacent slab mesh line are not in line.
In that case tou have to make it in line manually. I usually perfer to go for manual meshing.

Hello Sir, when I select similar story for my slabs while drawing them, it still draws all of them on all story’s.... and in the course of deleting those that I don’t want by selecting one story, it still deletes all my slabs. What’s the matter?

May i know the reason why you have selected American Codes instead of Indian Codes? If I model using Indian codes, does the process you have explained gets differ?
The modelling process is same for all codes. No difference at all. You just need to see the parameters (loads, combination, factors etc.) accroding to the code you are using.
Sir what about Checks??? Story drift ,Soft Storey,Torsional Irregularities Seismic and Wind chks???

@@SanjuSingh-tj3gn Failed members are highlighted with red colors. Right click on the failed members and see the reason why they are failing. Then define a new section with slightly higher cross-sectional area and again run the analysis.

is Plinth beam design in safe??? and what are the rule for designing a plinth beam explain plz
foundations will be designed separately either manually or using SAFE or STAAD Foundation. In my upcoming tutorials i will design using both method. Plinth beams are design in the same way as regular beams.
