This is the epic kind of music that makes you want to buy a sword. The head out to crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentation of their women.
Honestly, I had no idea this was a sequel when I first saw it as a kid. And I absolutely loved it. The story, the action, the characters, everything. It was amazing.
One of the best climaxes of any piece of music. I rate it a solid 8/10, and there are only 6 other songs with a climax I rate higher. (those 6 songs are Baba Yetu, Chant of Selflessness, Don't Ever Forget, Sogno Di Volare, Remix 10, and Diggy Diggy Hole. I'm a brony and I like video games. We have good music, damn it!)
I like this song, but the original is better. It was like the gods were crying for Conan to send them blood by the gallons - this seems like the fuel for Conan to carry through a battle. Either way, the soundtrack to me carries all of the scenes from both films. I just wish there were more. .-.
SparksTheChosen Hans Zimmer could be amazing but he isn't. I say this because even though Hans Zimmer does alot of music for anime/movies etc. However he has used one specific great them (and i mean the exact theme) for several movies. Pirates and gladiator share this theme but its not the only movie he composed for that does.
SkyExplosion Oh, for fuck's sake, stop it. That is the most unfair criticism I've ever heard for a composer. Hans Zimmer used the same exact theme for several movies? Yeah, lots of great composers have. Jerry Goldsmith, Ennio Morricone (my favourite composer but he's worse at this than Zimmer), James Newton Howard etc. Even Williams (AKA most overrated composer ever) has done this a lot. Attacking Zimmer for this just makes you sound idiotic.
Some flaws? Destroyer basically murdered everything that was good in the Barbarian. Only thing in it that didn't suck was the soundtrack. While it wasn't as magnificent as the one in the Barbarian, it was still pretty good.
Love this ! A guy at work who drives one of the machines basically breaks everything he gets his hands on . He's deaf as a post and telling him to be careful is one thing . Next minute he's totally destroyed something. I imagine he must have this theme tune on in his cab haha
I love how in the movie Conan would seem like he would do the slightest aggressive thing, and the one part from 3:13 til the end would play. Rehashed every five seconds.
This is the music I play when I'm a lil to far away from the toilet and the turd bunker is going to purge. It's an adventure getting there but what triumph when you barely make splash down
since the times of Averia, when the oceans drank Atlantis, i alone can tell you of his saga, to be made a king by his own hand and wear the crown of Aqualonia, apon a troubled brow. let my tell you the story of high adventure!
Destroyer is the epitome of fun fantasy adventure , while Barbarian had potential of winning the academy award for best picture IF they had wanted to take it there. But no one took fantasy material to that level, and movie executives would of insisted on deluding the story if someone asked for resources on an award winning level.
for those of you that live in san jose CA or near it.Theres a convention coming up and its called the big wow comicfest on may 19-20 and Sandahl Bergman who played as valeria from conan the barbarian will be there. And Olivia d'abo who played the princess from conan the destroyer will be there also.So check it out..Love this music.
I read that the composer for Conan is Greek and he came up with the theme when he heard his daughter playing a similar tune on her little recorder or some type of woodwind instrument.
Poleduris score was, is and shall be unforgettable!!! Zimmer on the other hand has done some very iconic scores but compared him with the Poleduris bring smile to my face...... There is a comparison..... Basil is on the top!
Idk if I’m the only one here, but I honestly like both movies a lot. Yeah, they are both different in tone and feel, but I personally feel like this movie was a still a fun adventure romp. Perhaps not as good as the first, but I still enjoyed it
This is the epic kind of music that makes you want to buy a sword. The head out to crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentation of their women.
listen hail to england album from Manowar and ride your horse
FORGE* a sword!
@@diogeniscruyff1084 Amen!
@@tezas87 You Win! 😆
that is good!!
Honestly, I had no idea this was a sequel when I first saw it as a kid. And I absolutely loved it. The story, the action, the characters, everything. It was amazing.
I remember my auntie giving me the DVD that came free in the newspaper. I loved it as a kid and always enjoy a re-watch from time to time
3:14 makes you invincible for 15 secs
Probably 10 Seconds Great Music
Epic comment 🤣🤣🤣
Bol! Thought i was the only 1
I have this exact clip rigged to a motion sensor to play every time I'm in front of my floor to ceiling mirror to admire my monstrous dong 🥒💦
I play this part exactly during a heavy set and it works!!
Basil was a Genius.
Cant get enough of 1:37 and 3:13.
Candy to the ears.

You'd like tusk ki2 theme if you like this song
University of Oregon marching band plays this part during their football games . It’s great
I was sad to hear about Basil Poledouris passing away. He made some of the most iconic movie themes in history.
If "Conan the Destroyer" had ANY advantage over the first film, it was this song! I honestly wish it played in the first movie!
The original is better. But this is a close second.
nah the original is way better
I agree
I like this song, but the original is better. It was like the gods were crying for Conan to send them blood by the gallons - this seems like the fuel for Conan to carry through a battle. Either way, the soundtrack to me carries all of the scenes from both films. I just wish there were more. .-.
I'll take the original any day, but this is still fun.
Let me tell you of the days of high adventure!
straight into my heart
Yes, man.
That phrase still rings in my head!
You are Oboro, the chronicle ?? 😉
Lifting weights while listening to this song gives me the strength of Conan!
This and Robocop became iconic theme songs. Basil is legendary
strange, wild, unrepentantly uncivilized, like conan himself. fabulous track!
The mind that wrote this music is genius level, period.
⚡️🇬🇷 Basileios Poledouris 🇬🇷⚡️
Everyone came here for 1:37
Actually, 1:57
actually 3:13
Also a good part.
Yup pretty much and 3:13 lol but basil Poledouris' work is underrated
Yep😂
I love the song,.. but it's really the last 30 seconds or so that hit me. I love them. Wish it was longer.
check out the grasslands theme to golden axe, its basically that :D
The theme is the best part about the movie! Listening to this makes me want to grab a medieval sword and embark upon an epic battle!
This was my favorite movie when I was a kid. The music is a big part of it. Still love it . Now playing this movie for my kids as they grow up
It's weird. I can't stop playing this. Probably played it 50 times in last week. It's SO GOOD.
Crom is pleased, he will watch your battle.
I blast this on the way to the gym !
I do hope it's still playing whilst AT the gym too😅
This is more epic and inspiring than anything currently in movies.
Best Documentary Ever filmed!
Jim Dixon Thank you. I was pretty jacked back then.
my testosterone just sky rocketed!
Mine too and I'm a woman
gay
It was foretold in the Scrolls of Skelos, that this theme is badass.
Poledouris laughs at your Hans Zimmer, laughs from his mountain
They are both amazing, so don't insult Hans Zimmer!

I guess it's cool to diss Zimmer nowadays, huh?
Relax, it's just a joke
Watched this with my dad not too long ago and as soon as I heard that awesome theme I came straight here
Awesome stuff. May Basil Poledouris rest in peace ...
I want this played at my funeral
They'll end up awakening Dagoth! 😓
@@gingataisen nahhh for that you need the orgy soundtrack, I'm using the name from original movie but yea
Earn it.
My man wants to type "this played on my funeral" afterwards
The film has some flaws, but this soundtrack is just legendary
Some flaws? Destroyer basically murdered everything that was good in the Barbarian. Only thing in it that didn't suck was the soundtrack. While it wasn't as magnificent as the one in the Barbarian, it was still pretty good.
KingKuuppa I like the movie. Just because it has HUGE nostalgic value for me.
KingKuuppa
Completely agree. Loved the original but Richard Fleischer literally destroyed (pun intended) this one
At least this movie, and Conan The Barbarian is better than the 2011 version. That movie was an insult to the Conan franchise.
ScourgeKingley22 FUCKIN' A! Schwarzenegger - REAL CONAN! 2011 film - Piss-poor Conan for Hipsters.
Love this ! A guy at work who drives one of the machines basically breaks everything he gets his hands on . He's deaf as a post and telling him to be careful is one thing . Next minute he's totally destroyed something. I imagine he must have this theme tune on in his cab haha

We played this song in our marching band show my freshman year of high school, still my favorite one we ever did
Since adding this to my favourite list I have taken nearly 1,000 lives. Basil Poledouris, you have the blood of 1,000 smitten fools on your hands.
this series of movies is the best conan interpretation ever.
The new Conan was no where as good as the original Conan!
or even good as this.
The best sword fight movie of the 80's.
EXCELLENT.
During pen and paper rpg nights, sing the theme from 3:13 when rolling for attack. All rolls become auto confirmed crits! ;)
1:36 is so epic
Yep, I was looking for that for a long time.
BEST motivational song EVER!
what a whopper tune!!!! and If You Do Not Listen Then To Hell With You
hahahahaha nice...quoted from Conan the Barbarian himself!!😎💪
Ahh......I can't help but listen to this when I hit the gym!
This is the music I play when I'm a lil to far away from the toilet and the turd bunker is going to purge. It's an adventure getting there but what triumph when you barely make splash down
The theme at 3:14 is the best part and the most memorable tune from the movie.
Bombaata's mace is probably the most brutal vehicle of punishment of it's kind...not to mention really effin' cool.
Thank you Basil for the memories!
A true masterpiece
I play this song first every time I go to the gym to get myself PSYCHED!!!!
Love it!!!! Brings back so many memories! !!
since the times of Averia, when the oceans drank Atlantis, i alone can tell you of his saga, to be made a king by his own hand and wear the crown of Aqualonia, apon a troubled brow. let my tell you the story of high adventure!
VERY STRONG SOUNDTRACK.I AM PROUD THAT THE COMPOSER IS GREEK JUST LIKE ME.LOVE FROM GREECE!
Best theme song of all time.
Awesome!!!! This could be my new workout song!!!!! :D
It's about damn ****ing time they make the movie where we see Conan as King. King Conan, even at old age. Is a badass.
Destroyer is the epitome of fun fantasy adventure , while Barbarian had potential of winning the academy award for best picture IF they had wanted to take it there. But no one took fantasy material to that level, and movie executives would of insisted on deluding the story if someone asked for resources on an award winning level.
O filme é excelente e a trilha sonora também, ótimo!
Isso ae, mano !!
Ícone do cinema.
Sem dúvida
Thanks for ups ding this, epic soundtrack for an epic film
Bombataa!!!
Do you know how many push ups I did as a 5 yr old watching arnold and listing to this ! This is great thank you . TOP Basil P.
Me emocionan mucho sus sonidos y me siento dentro de la pelicula como si hubiera vivido esa época. Mis respetos
this is beautiful
You know, you took the words right out of my mouth!! I was thinking that and couldnt say it any better!! :D
Incredible song!!
Basil has made some excellent soundtracks.
It's great driving music in a Viper GTS. BROADSWORD OF A CAR
This is so epic! :O
thats so great...please post the other tracks too!
There will never be a Conan as bad ass as Arnold..
Yea men, keep posting these tracks. Amaizing song.
my father used to beat me to this jam. Said it will make me stronger. 30 years later, I am unemployed and living in his basement.
Go and take revenge from this world
You owe allegiance to No-One
Excellent
Damn, I miss these movies. Wish someone at least made another one.
Poledouris means always something great and different, especially at Conan and Robocop. RiP Basil
i love this..
Basil Poledouris is king of the Heroic Charge theme. (See: "Body Count" scene from HOT SHOTS PART DEUX.)
for those of you that live in san jose CA or near it.Theres a convention coming up and its called the big wow comicfest on may 19-20 and Sandahl Bergman who played as valeria from conan the barbarian will be there. And Olivia d'abo who played the princess from conan the destroyer will be there also.So check it out..Love this music.
dude that made my day...awesome
I love it.
0:53 and BEYOND! This has been stuck in my head for weeks.
This would make for an awesome progressive metal cover version.
GREAT!!!
Great music!
Bro when the bell start!!!! That’s my jam
hit me at work this past week .
best conan music BEST!!!!!
Yesss, for sure!
This is my favorite action song of all time.
the real soundtrack is missing the beautiful string section composition as they ride to the ice castle after the town they were in.
I used to be a lyric tenor, then I listened to this and became a heldentenor immediately.
I read that the composer for Conan is Greek and he came up with the theme when he heard his daughter playing a similar tune on her little recorder or some type of woodwind instrument.
Man i wish they would have made more Conan movies. In my opinion these were Arnolds best movies.
excellent thks
Poleduris score was, is and shall be unforgettable!!!
Zimmer on the other hand has done some very iconic scores but compared him with the Poleduris bring smile to my face......
There is a comparison.....
Basil is on the top!
Definitly gonna get both soundtracks and add it to the in-game music folder when Elder Scrolls V releases.
dude you're totally right!! :)
The best part is from 0:54 to 1:31. It is just powerful.
Idk if I’m the only one here, but I honestly like both movies a lot. Yeah, they are both different in tone and feel, but I personally feel like this movie was a still a fun adventure romp. Perhaps not as good as the first, but I still enjoyed it
I love this and what I like a out of more is it sound very similar to some of the music in mandolorian
Fabuloso!!
i hope they remake conan with music like this, shit would be great
That sword is the coolest sword in history!
the 2 old conan movies beat the new 2011movie
Price?
Ryan McCallum yes
The new movie wasn't bad, it was just different.
Pisses, shits, and vomits blood on the new movie.
New Conan dont have that much muscles like Arnold
