I think Dave and Paul have a good rapport on the ice. I see the improvements in Dave’s skills with each lesson.

My coach had me doing forward cross rolls the other day. I struggle with my left outside edge. This sport is hard! Respect Dave. 👏

Dave you're doing great. But specifically watch, if you haven't done so already, how Paul at 15:14 controls his rockers. Before he even starts, he has a really good knee-bend, which means his ankle is flexed forward before the rocker even begins. So watch how he rises up to work his way through the rocker and then lilts back down, deep in his ankle to maintain perfect balance. With you, I'm not sensing that you're bending your knee as much as Paul. Are you boots too stiff? I feel if you could bend the ankle forward just a bit more BEFORE the rocker, it will provide you with a great sense of reassurance BEFORE you launch into the maneuver. Right now, it feels like your not always 100% balanced going into this move which requires extreme concentration even at slow speeds. But that's what my eagle eye caught. Other than that you're doing great. You're EMBRACING the lean. In places like 22:00 that was evident. You can even hear it. The ice doesn't lie.
Now, with the exercise you were doing at 28:23, well that requires extensive turn out and likely some ballet classes to make you sensitive to how your FEET are perceived. Paul's feet look like they are feathers because of his turn out. This is why Dick and Peggy harped so long and hard about "turn out" - because LACK of "turn out" will stain great work. So, at home, if you're not doing so already, I would practice, IN THE LIVING ROOM, OFF THE ICE the position that Paul hit at 22:52. Not sure if you're taking ballet classes already, but if you are, tell the ballet teacher to PUT you in that position. You want Paul's TURN OUT, period. Trying to fix that on the fly, on the ice, will throw you off tremendously. So, it needs to be addressed off ice, and gradually incorporated on ice. Don't let Dick and Peggy down. Without the turn out - well, you know how you rake skaters over the coals for crappy turn out. Look at poor Loena Hendrickx - if only .... if ONLY she had the slightest notion of what "turn out" was, her skating just might be the balm in Gilead we all need during this drought of great skaters were are currently enduring. So, Dave, be that light at the end of the tunnel for us ... work on the turn out. You can do it. Make it happen. Cheering you on from the sidelines.
