I believe they changed the (1) color option each year or 2. Mine was a ‘71 or ‘72. Had a 1970 CT-1 enduro and a ‘76 KE (I think) 175 as well. The little 100 was identical to the one in the video.
CMSNL is the best. If I can't find a part, they'll usually have it. I would have gone on line with a part number and paid way too much for those two ball bearings. I often forget that hardware stores carry stuff like that...although I don't remember seeing the ball bearings section at Home Depot or Lowes.
That motorcycle looks great for a 1971! Has it been restored? My friends had some motorcycles with Hi/Low range when I was growing up, never worked on one. Ironic that Honda had HI/Low gearbox’s on the Trail 90 and left it off the new CT125’s. As a result sounds as if the CT125 owners are trying to get a little more highway speed out of them. Don Reed
Just got out my '71 to ride today. Mine does not have the cable and lever on the bars for the low range. You have to reach down to shift. It's a tank though. Nice bike.
Two questions. Have you gotten that rust dissolver into an open cut yet? And did CSMSNL send you the little motorcycle guy key chain with your order? I have a few of those little guys. They may only put him in the box when you spend over a certain amount, I'm not sure. The shipping isn't bad considering it's coming from the Netherlands.
No rust dissolver in open cut. Will let you know when it happens. I had lots of the keychains. They now belong to my grandkids. What you gonna do? Thanks for watching.
@@motorcyclerewind I don’t know about Kawasaki, but prior to 1973 some motorcycle year model was the year it was first titled. But I’m not sure about Kawasaki?
I watch Motorcycle Rewind videos as my ASMR...it's so Zen 👍
😂🤣Thanks for watching.
I have the same bike! Same color, have had it since I was 18, now I’m 53. Great little bike!
Wow!!!
I owned one, in Canada this was a 1972 model. A fun bike.
Cool. Thanks for watching
Talk about bringing back memories-I used to have one of these back in the ‘70s. Really fun to ride. 2stroke with a rotary valve.
Such a cool little bike. Thanks for watching.
I remember red tank w/sort of white detail

Nice little ring-dinger.
Yes it is. Such a good clean example. Thanks for watching!
You reminded me I thought of 100cc dirt bikes like that as being full size motorcycles back then! Thanks I enjoyed the video! Don Reed
Thanks for watching.
Awesome thx for sharing
Such a cool bike.
Opps. Sorry about that link in my first post. Great video. Thanks for sharing.
No worries. Thanks for watching.
Yes, strap to keep the seat off the side cover or muffler I believe.
Wonder where it’s supposed to connect.
@@motorcyclerewind Not sure, but since it’s a strap I figure it’s got to lean over the other way a bit.

Have to go to an Ace and preferably one that has been around forever. They have everything.
NAPA has a large assortment of parts as well.
Creampuff. Never knew about any hi lows like that.
Me neither. Super cool. Thanks for watching.
That ball bearing/cog system is what Hodaka used for their entire transmission. Very simple.
Super simple. Thanks for watching.

I thought the sicker said ‘71. I have been wrong before at least that’s what’s what my wife tells me. Really cool motorcycle. Thanks for watching.

Not a 1971, It's a 1972. All 1972 Kawasaki's share the same paint scheme.
Cool. I have been known to be wrong from time to time and I guess it was my time. 🤣Thanks for watching.
Trail boss isn't it
It is yes
If you were a kid with one of these, you were definitely the BOSS! Thanks for watching.
I believe 1970 g4 I'm sure it was red w/white tank
