I know its a hard concept but just because the engine is on a limiter doesn't mean its the "rev limiter"... the line on the dash has literally no bearing on any engines limitations..

The motors in those are pretty trash, I'd say they were getting ready to STI swap it and grenaded the motor for fun, I did the same thing to my v6 mustang before I dropped a 5.0 in it

At the end of the day it was your engine. However, I still think it's childish to blow something up just because you personally don't like it and don't have a use for it. Value is subjective; you could have given somebody who does value the engine a really good deal or donated the engine to a tech school, etc.

I love the whimsical music you use in the videos! Having been a mechanic previously I can really appreciate every scenario. Alot of these are probably videos taken by the mechanic to show the customer what they found because some of the defects are hard to believe. Thank goodness for phones with video capability -- saves a lot of breath.

Common supercharger failure, either he doesn’t have or wasn’t watching his engine temp or pressure gauges. He heated his internals too much and his piston rings expanded and closed up the head from the block. That blew the piston straight to space. Boosted cars require good internals, a good block, a good tuning, and most importantly a competent driver.

I had to use my shoestrings for a throttle when my friend's throttle cable broke back in high school. I was in the passenger seat of his festiva pulling the throttle and he was driving and shifting. The cop that pulled us over asked if we thought it was safe and I said yeah and revved the engine. He wasn't amused. He made us park it.
