Thanatosdrakon's kill animation reminds me of Zara's death in the movie, which I do remember was something a lot of fans were disappointed wasn't in the game
One of the dumbest scenes in the whole franchise they couldn't even give that death to a hated character. Damn jurassic world was such a mess.

@@shard135 personally i like it, it's one of the most brutal kills in the franchise and the first woman death on screen. I think Jurassic world has its problems but that scene isn't one of them.

Im Glad Segisaurus has some animations to set it apart from the similar Coelophysis and Compsagnathus.

Thanatosdrakon is an incredible name! Literally dragon of death. Drakon = ancient greek for dragon. Thanatos = ancient greek for death.

"Thanatos" means death in modern greek as well. It should have been named "Thanatodrakon" though, without the "s" in the middle.
@@necrogenisis I did not know that. I don't really know anything about Greece after the fall of the Roman Empire.
Although it SEEMS underwhelming, I'm still greatly happy that we have the Segisaurus. If we didn't have it or the Microceratus, there would be a noticeable absence in complete InGen's List Jurassic Park builds. Now us lifetime JP fans can make our parks the way that John Hammond intended.
Can't wait for JWE 3 to come out and not have the megalodon, then add it in a future DLC again

Thank you for covering all in one video! Definitely purchasing this DLC for Microceratus alone (cant wait for modders to get their hands on that rig and recreate Protoceratops too). Official Kelp with those tiny hitboxes are just icing on top.

If this isn’t the last DLC and the next DLC is actually the last one, I would like to see a Chaos Theory DLC which would include the Becklespinax/Altispinax, along with Smilodon to finish up the movie canon lineup of creatures, along with the Chaos Theory variants of the Suchomimus, and the Pachyrhinosaurus, along with many of the missing skins from Camp Cretaceous like Firecracker, more Parasauralaphus Lux skins, the Grey Ceratosaurus, Burned Toro, Camp Cretaceous Dilophosaurus and Velociraptor, and more!
For me, if this isn’t the last dlc, I hope it ends with an expansion
@@dinojack24 Honestly that's how it should end and how I'm betting it will, it seems like they're wrapping things up already, adding fan favorites and bringing back the JWE1 hybrids. It'll probably end in a Chaos Theory expansion adding both content from the new series and stuff missing from CC, and that may be it...
@@diogod2347 we know frontier listens to the community, so that expansion is realistic to happen, but I’m hoping for a 3rd year anniversary gift, they give us something like the jungle river cruise attraction.

(apols for double posting) I've just watched the start of your Glitch Vid again and it occurs to me that the effect you have when showing how to put plants and rocks in the marina - that combined with the kelp will really look like the kind of North American coastline that Great Whites favour when they are on their travels. I'm a bit ensorcelled by the kelp! Can't wait to play with it. I've not tried using the Glitches yet either, but I feel a Glitchy Park lurking in my soul now. Sorry to waffle, just v excited for this pack. TYSM again for your brilliant vids, Evo.

Only thing i wish, is that the kelp could have been a environment brush and for more aquatic environment customization
I was hoping for that as well, but at least they don't place down one at a time.

This pack was a surprise for me, I didn't expect much of it but it came with great species, especially Microceratus (finally) and Thanatosdrakon, but what surprised me the most was the Kelp, sure it wasn't a brush but gladly they make it easy to place it in the lagoons, like you said very solid pack.
The free update was short, but the Kelp makes it worth it.
Hopefully this is not the last DLC, great video Evo and thanks for the showcase.

Been looking forward to this video today at work. I shall be getting the pack on release, I like the idea of building a small species preserve on the San Marie Bay map with a Megalodon in the natural lagoon.
I love how realistic the megs shark feeding animation is.

Hypothetically.. placing kelp beside one and other very very close, if the marine creatures don’t swim through and glitching a fence ontop. I wonder if it’s possible to have functional ‘in lagoon’ fences… Edit: kelp might be way too low not sure yet

The colors for these are in point! The beak of the Thanatosdrakon is amazing, and so is the crest of the microceratus. Love to see them putting in more effort in paid dinos
I knew this video was to come out today and was so excited. I got very bad results from yesterday’s test and did a different test today. I also got braces after 2 years and it was do annoying. Thus video gave me some hope and I Thank You for making this video and many others. This channel is what will get me through

I've spent some time yesterday setting up a couple of habitats for the Microceratus and Segisaurus. I'm very excited for the new floodlight as well.
This is fantastic. They wll lokk fantastic. Along with the other new stuff in the update.
Although wish it had a more epic send off here, I guess getting the creatures we really wanted and the new recently discovered pterosaur will do.
Hope I can get the remaining DLC packs in the future.
In the meantime, I can't wait to see what exhibit ideas wnd other park ideas you have in mind for these creatures.

i am DEFINETLY going to get it because i dont have the bisyn expansion so i dont have the quetzal but the thanosdrakon is going to be a good alternative for me and i am so excited for the meg because i always wished to have the meg in jurassic world somehow and its perfect that now i can finally add it into my park

Hey @evolutionsquare, one idea i think you should pitch to frontier in an upcoming video or however you chat with them, is the thought of in-lagoon style fencing or dividers, whether floating style chains or iron bar style, that way its more cohesive to have one massive lagoon with several enclosures and realistic, kind of like separating betta fish in one tank xD letme know what you personally think……ps it would kindve make the wasted break out animations for lagoon animals feel more purposeful…..pss love the content keep it up, u da best

Thanatosdrakon was discovered in 2022 in Argentina so it’s a pretty new species. I really like that frontier choose to show newer species of prehistoric animals!
I do wish there was an individual kelp so it could be spread out, but satisfactory that it exists at all I guess
