Marvels own spidey like a divorce father owns his kids. He can see them he can communicate with them and take them out but he ain't the legal guardian.
Marvel Studios and the X-Men and FF property is like if Marvel got Fox pregnant, it's up to the mother if she wants him to meet them, but now it seems unlikely as crap.
homecoming succks ass though spidey holland performance in MCU is good but not fucking homecoming! Samsairmis spiderman>>>>Homecoming>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Amazing bullshit spiderman.
Kyel Ryland we can only hope they do. Rob says Blade and Namor are back in marvel studios so maybr wesley snipes can be in a blade 4 teamed up with Michael Morbius and Felicia Black Cat Hardy after she takes the super soldier serum
Marvel and Sony are like a divorce couple, and Spiderman is the child in this situation. Marvel wants to spend time with his kid as much as possible, while Sony only keeps the kid for the child support money
more like Marvel dropped their baby in an orphanage and Sony adopted it and raised the child only for marvel to come back 20 years later and try to be involved in the childs life
I love your tangents; one of the reasons why your channel is so great, it makes your videos feel more like a dialogue/conversation rather than a lecture/presentation. Rob, you're so cool.
I sincerely hope that Fox sees reason and sells the Fantastic 4 back to Marvel Studios. That would make for some epic movies. The Avengers and Fantastic 4 going together to fight Doctor Doom and eventually Galactus. That would make for a badass phase four or five. Assuming they do Doom and Galactus right, of course.
Pay attention to the video. The head of Sony Pictures went to Marvel Studios head for this deal. Fox and Marvel used to have the same arrangement. X-Men 1-3 and FF 1 (& 2, I think) had toys and merchandise that was sold and distributed by Marvel. The difference now and the actual barrier between this happening is in the Corporate Suits of Marvel/Disney, not the other way around. Blaming "The Fox" for this stuff is just ignorance.
MMM mmm that would be tasty. I didn't watch Iron Fist but all I know is that I want Blade to be far as can be from that. Solid action and writing, but definitely an emphasis on action.
I can't imagine Sony closing Sony Pictures based off the financial success of that Emoji movie of all things. They may kill their animation division but not the entire studio. If the Dark Tower ends up being great and people go see it they'll have two tentpole films and maybe Bond too again.
Yes, DOOM is one of my favorite villains out there and they messed him up twice. If Marvel/Disney were to get the rights to use him...I'd be a happy camper
This is basically a sort of "win-win-win" scenario. Sony still has the license, marvel can make money from merchandise, and us fans can see spidey in the MCU.
I have a dream, a very far fetched dream. Fox could guarentee this dream. I think all we realy want to see is an end credits scene in Avengers 4 with the arrival of Doom himself, who then creates a battle world putting the X-men, Avengers and Fantastic 4 all in one universe!
+Adam Heathski that.... is actually perfect. The next logical step after Infinity Gauntlet is Secret Wars. It's the only event I can think of that could match Infinity War in scope (though I'm not very versed in Marvel so that means very little). The many X-men timelines, Avengers, Fantastic 4, possibly multiple Spidermen or Hulks, as well as other new characters normally associated with Battleworld. That would be awesome.
I hope Marvel finds some way to get the distribution rights for Hulk back from Universal. It's cool that he's in the Avengers films and Thor Ragnarok, but another solo Hulk movie would be great to see.
Hey, Rob: Long story/request long; I heard of a comic called Spider-Man Reign, well before I began watching your videos. Other than the focus plot being revieled for the sake of explaination (which REALLY sucks for me) I absolutely know nothing else of it, whether if the story ties into alternate realities, a 'What If' story, when it was created, etc. I have, purposefully, not researched this story, in the events that I may one day read or review it in all of it's entirety. Now that I have discovered you, I would LOVE for you to do this comic for me. I see that ComicPop and others have already done videos on it, but your the only 'comic'-tary UA-camr that I both like and have absolutely no issues in finishing an entire video. I know it may take a bit of time, or you may already plan on doing it in the future, but thought I would make this request. Potential second request, I love the videos of super powered beings, videos like 'The worst super power' and 'The most tasteless superheroes'. I would reallt enjoy seeing A LOT more of those, if at all possible. Thanks for the consideration.
Yo Rob! Love your videos - don't know how you find the time but if you keep making, I'll keep watching! Thanks so much :D Any chance you could take a look at pros and cons of buying issues/ trade paperbacks/ digital some time? I've been out of comics a while now and your vids have been bringing me up to speed so now I'm all geared up to get back in! I don't know if I wanna buy collected editions or carry on with collecting issues like I used to. Do they change things in the collected versions? Do they include one-shots or #0 issues at all? Do they still have adverts or are the pages all out of order from when they were first written? Are there any kind of rules to that kind of thing? As my new comics guru, it'd be awesome if you could explain some of that stuff :P Peace and love from England
if they kill Peter Parker so early in his marvel studios life , it will be a disaster . Miles Morales does not have the necessary fanbase , to draw at the box office . Yet . the name of Spiderman does but nobody really calles miles that .
CornBreadtm Considering Peter Parker is synonymous with Spiderman I think they would notice a kid with both the opposite skin tone and opposite costume colours taking his place.
Garry Izzard what would his skin tone matter? pretty much every character was a different race than their comic counterpart in homecoming. the Peter in mcu is just a white miles and people didn't notice lol
That's the perfect reason to introduce the character. Spiderman is a strong brand, but it's being polluted with by bad movies and decades of inaccessibility. I have no love (or hate) for Miles, but he represents a fresh take on an already familiar character that could give a film franchise a lot of room to grow. Peter Parker is too safe, too expected. A Parker death and Morales Spiderman would be a bold move that doesn't often happen in films anymore, and it would give the character exactly the audience he needs. So yeah, no one knows Morales. But that's kind of the point.
History of Video Games could be core. like the living tribunal has that core in his chest that makes him whole. like ironman has that arc reactor (core) and it powers his heart lmao
Funnily enough as successful as MCU has been, Spider Man will always be Marvel's most valuable asset. He is for Marvel what Batman/Superman are for DC. Whoever owns Spidey's rights can make one thousand pictures of him and they will always will be very successful because he will always be the character that better resonates with kids, teens and young adults.
Can you do Captain Marvel vs Doomsday and Black Adam vs Doomsday? Also, just how powerful is Black Adam ( with the fact he can use Magic, has wisdom and live and move through the infinite void of space). Then Black Adam with all his powers of the gods and magic (defense and offense) any spells he wishes to beat Superman. Also, can Black Adam and Captain Marvel use the Speed Force as well?
You just explained what's been happening around me without upgrades. I'm the old black spider-man. (Spider-man also has many other renditions including clones and alternate universes as well, including Miles Morales)
I know i'm late to this party. I didn't much care about rights and licensing. Now that the MCU is wrapping up, I got curious. This was the best explanation of how the spiders work and for who. Thank you.
I think in the long term, Sony Pictures is going to go bankrupt and will have the rights back to Marvel. In the short term, Sony is going to stay afloat at the moment because of the money Homecoming is raking in Edit: Sony Picture department shutting down, not Sony as a whole going out of business, my bad
Now as I see it, I understand why Marvel wants to establish their own Marvel Universe, with Sony Pictures not having a lot of success lately and all of that. I don't want it, I don't approve of it, but hey, I'm a family man too, and Sony has employees.
Sony is not even close to being bankrupt. Are you honestly saying that Dark Tower won't make a killing? Jumanji? Sony owns the whole james bond franchise which is insanely profitable. These rumors are complete crap.
long term is an insanely vague term. used completely incorrectly in this context. everything will fail long term at some point. facebook won't exist in 50 years. it's just impossible. after vr fully takes over, why would anyone post on a website anymore. movies won't exist in 50 years because why would i ever watch a movie when i can put on my vr headset and live it. marvel likely won't even exist in 50 years outside of possibly owning the rights to characters within the vr world and even then, it's past the expiration date of patents/copyright. So they would be public domain by then.
AtomicLegion Good point, (not about the VR necessarily, but about the copyright expiration) Sony is one of the biggest companies in the entire world and movies are one of the biggest markets in the world, Sony pictures will be around until after the copyright expires.
I would have been totally down for an amazing Spider-Man 3 movie, I personally really liked Andrew Garfield Spider-Man but holy moly Spider-Man homecoming was so good and I'm really looking forward to what else they do with him in the MCU.
I was actually speaking to someone who was working for Sony for the new Spider-Man movie. He was stoked and said that the reviews were good and that him and his buddies were gonna celebrate. He said it would have been "tragic" if it didn't do well. So as for that rumor, I'd say it's likely they will sell Sony Pictures if it does a crap job in the upcoming future. That's just my speculation from what I'm hearing.
Whats the use of Venom? Fucking useles. Without spiderman. They should have not include spiderman in MCU if they're planning not to include venom in MCU. Or they're planing in the future.
You make a statemet that I think is interesting and that is, "Marvel had to scrap the bottom of the barrel." I think this may have been a good thing in hindsight. They had to choose the less common heroes and bolster them with good supporting cast. They also had to test each hero with an individual movie first to see if it could swim on its own. Imagine if Marvel just simply made FF, Xmen, Avengers each as 3 movies and then combine to make Infinity War as a 4th. There was no easy way out here, they had to put in the work to form the team rather than start with a team.
Love ya Rob, I'm so happy to be apart of the Rob core for three years now. (: I gotta be honest guys, it feels like Spidey has a ticking time bomb strapped to him that he just can not shake off. Once it goes off he pretty much gets blown up in smoke and fire. Unless Sony pictures goes....we lose Spidey for good. Well Parker Anyhow. Not to mention Venom being held hostage. But hey lets fight em the best we can, and enjoy Spidey while can. Ima go buy a crap ton of merchandise just to stick to sony, but hey I was gonna do that anyhow.
Honestly the fact that marvel is still doing Spider-Man and making barely any money off of it shows how cool Marvel Studios is and how they care about their fans
at this point we're looking at the emoji movie doing fair which is making me worry it won't save sony pictures but it keeps them alive longer its not over yet I'M HOPING its not as profitable as they hoped that makes them decide to sell so HOPEFULLY marvels getting the rights back
Two things: 1. I believe the possibility is that if the Spider-Man appearances in the MCU do lead to larger audiences (and through Avengers 3 at this point that seems to be the case) it would drive up the price if Sony wanted sell the licensing rights back to Marvel/Disney. 2. While Miles Morales will make an appearance in the films soon, I don’t expect they will have him replace Peter Parker. Just as fans made it clear during the Clone Saga that you can’t mess with Parker, there would be an equally vociferous reaction to either Sony or Disney trying to kill him off (especially after Captain America didn’t get killed in Civil War). That said, I think it would be cool if the studios toy with the Clone Saga in the films and bring Garfield back as Ben Reilly!
Hey rob just a random thought for another video similar to this, could you go in depth on whether or not the x-men can be in the new marvel vs capcom: infinite? Thanks!
Rob something like that almost happened, Marvel wanted D.C. To write and publish their comics. The deal fell through because of a lawsuit that was brought against another comic book company.
Achieved It I say it had the best Spider-Man but not the best supporting cast I feel the Rami movies had the best supporting cast (not Spider-Man 3 that piece of junk) but to each their own :)
6:41 Oh. Please no. I dont want that to happen at all, the movie was brilliant. Tom was amazing, dont kill off the newest and greatest Spider-man to ever grace the silverscreen.
Lets just hope Sony doesn't screw spider-man over again especially with there horrible track record with spidey and he stays in the mcu the forever while sony venom movie can just go away please
The Only Way Miles Morales would work in the series would be if they had built his character over the course of two or three Spider-Man movies and at the end of the third one they kill off Peter Parker and miles takes on The Gauntlet in memory of his Fallen Friend or something of the sort but just to introduce him a cold new character would not be successful
I don't think they'll do a live action Miles Morales movie just cuz I don't see it happening with the current storyline or what we know of it so far! Because Spider-Man is so young in this one it probably won't go anywhere, unless infinity war takes place years later or something like that, then Peter Parker dies but it's unlikely... STILL HYPED FOR THE ANIMATED MOVIE THOUGH!😆
correct me if I am wrong but Parker wasn't that old when he died in the 1610 universe. I could see them killing off Peter for Miles. However I do like the actor who plays Peter right now. Would be a shame to give him the role and just take it from him so soon.
Tremble Dust Yeah that's why I thought it wouldn't be likely to do Miles in the MCU cuz they JUST got Tom to do Peter. I think in the story, at the time that he died he was mid 20's or so, but in the recent movie he was 15 so that would still be like 8 to 10 years later and it probably just wouldn't work timeline wise with the current set up!
there are also clauses that state that if someone or the owners of the licensing rights have not done something with that character or rights within a certain time period it can result in the rights going back to marvel that is why blade and namor went back to marvel the studio that had them did nothing with them that is also why that crap fantastic four was put out so the rights would not revert back to marvel
Marvels own spidey like a divorce father owns his kids. He can see them he can communicate with them and take them out but he ain't the legal guardian.
Cake# true
Marvel Studios and the X-Men and FF property is like if Marvel got Fox pregnant, it's up to the mother if she wants him to meet them, but now it seems unlikely as crap.
Cake# lmaooo W
Michael Cabardo that's not how parenthood works....
Cake# Well said
"Spider-Man Homecoming" is the best thing not coming out of Sony right now!
8RONZ3M4N
Well Sony owns the movie so....I mean they still own Spider-Man
homecoming succks ass though spidey holland performance in MCU is good but not fucking homecoming!
Samsairmis spiderman>>>>Homecoming>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Amazing bullshit spiderman.
Fox needs to sell the Fant 4 back to Marvel... It's too gut wrenching to watch them take another shot at Fant 4
Kyel Ryland F4 are dead they're not even getting comics anymore
Kyel Ryland we can only hope they do. Rob says Blade and Namor are back in marvel studios so maybr wesley snipes can be in a blade 4 teamed up with Michael Morbius and Felicia Black Cat Hardy after she takes the super soldier serum
@Kyel Ryland @TheAllaksion *NOT HAPPENING* sorry. Fox does not own film distribution rights they get it on lone from another company for F4.
you mean fantfourstic?
f4 is getting another reboot and its kids this time
8:50 You called it
Dear God, please let the Emoji Movie fail. PLEASE.
It doesn't matter if that movie fails because this movie will be successful
It's going to fail, sony gives us something amazing like Baby Driver and then gives us shit like Emoji Movie :(
PLEASE!
Does anyone actually want to see that garbage?
Clint McKee LOL
You look like the "YEEAAA SPIDER-MAN" guy 😂😂😂
Bryan Jaggernauth lmao I thought that might have actually been him making a cameo or something
You kinda told the future wtf
*Me before I watched this video* : Everyone knows this
*Me after watching video* : Wow...how does Rob make this so interesting???😂
Marvel and Sony are like a divorce couple, and Spiderman is the child in this situation. Marvel wants to spend time with his kid as much as possible, while Sony only keeps the kid for the child support money
Dark Tales Production you copied another comment
COMMENT THIEF!
you're a worthless piece of shit for copying another person's comment
more like Marvel dropped their baby in an orphanage and Sony adopted it and raised the child only for marvel to come back 20 years later and try to be involved in the childs life
Nice comment me boy.

I'd rather they just give Doctor Doom to Marvel for some chump change they can keep the F4.

I'm from the future and marvel just bought fox so wooooo you called it
Good shit like always, Rob. This topic has always confused me.
I want dat Blade Netflix show
Marion Matthias Blade's gay though.
MMM mmm that would be tasty. I didn't watch Iron Fist but all I know is that I want Blade to be far as can be from that. Solid action and writing, but definitely an emphasis on action.
Rob are you going to make a review type video for Spider-Man homecoming?
Awesome Explanation! !
Just wanna thank you for making such good and educational content. Thanks Robcore.
I can't imagine Sony closing Sony Pictures based off the financial success of that Emoji movie of all things. They may kill their animation division but not the entire studio. If the Dark Tower ends up being great and people go see it they'll have two tentpole films and maybe Bond too again.
i deeply appreciate your hard work and continuous flow of entertaining and helpful info
Still praying for the day the MCU gets all the character rights back.
Yeah
Rob your videos are awesome
Hey Rob! I love your videos man keep it up!!
if only the fantastic four could go back to marvel... :(
Yes, DOOM is one of my favorite villains out there and they messed him up twice. If Marvel/Disney were to get the rights to use him...I'd be a happy camper
golden age another reboot is happening with kids this time
Jc sensation god dammit that's a terrible idea. i keep on screaming but god won't answer
No one cares for F4 anymore.
Alex Star i don't think so it's just because that the people behind the films are high as a kite when they make each one of these mediocre F4 movies.
Damn thanks for this video now I understand everything
ive been watching for several months and id like to say i love what you do man!
when you said that make dinner on a dollar comment,i just busted out laughing and i'm at work right now, everyone started to look at me weird. lol.
This is basically a sort of "win-win-win" scenario. Sony still has the license, marvel can make money from merchandise, and us fans can see spidey in the MCU.
Well I see sony getting him back for real .
loving all the spider man videos
Peter won't die in the next movie. There is no way.
Marvel : Well yes, but actually no
I have a dream, a very far fetched dream. Fox could guarentee this dream. I think all we realy want to see is an end credits scene in Avengers 4 with the arrival of Doom himself, who then creates a battle world putting the X-men, Avengers and Fantastic 4 all in one universe!
Maybe a Spider Island which crosses over Toby Macguire, Andrew Garfield and Tom Holland can be the prelude to Battle World.
The Pretender Maybe not Andrew Garfield xD
+Adam Heathski that.... is actually perfect. The next logical step after Infinity Gauntlet is Secret Wars. It's the only event I can think of that could match Infinity War in scope (though I'm not very versed in Marvel so that means very little). We really need to see Galactus and silver surfer in the mcu.
I hope Marvel finds some way to get the distribution rights for Hulk back from Universal. It's cool that he's in the Avengers films and Thor Ragnarok, but another solo Hulk movie would be great to see.
I actually prefer the Toby Maguire Spider-man suit..I think it looks better
Thanks for clarifying
Hey, Rob:

Welp, thanks for the info. I've been seeing the new Spiderman issues with Sony and Marvel but had no idea why Sony even had Spiderman.
for the love of all that's Rob Corp where can I get at your music playlist? that song at the end was awesome.
thanks for the info
Yo Rob! Love your videos - don't know how you find the time but if you keep making, I'll keep watching! Thanks so much :D

Wow! Prediction came true 2 years later.
if they kill Peter Parker so early in his marvel studios life , it will be a disaster . Miles Morales does not have the necessary fanbase , to draw at the box office . Yet . the name of Spiderman does but nobody really calles miles that .
Homecoming was basically a Miles' story with Peter as the main character. Was kind of weird... doubt people would notice the change.
CornBreadtm well if they introduce miles you can't really have his story twice .

I know this doesn't have anything to do with this video but the starter grass type better be powerful in the next pokemon game.
lol xd random
Scuffling Boogaloo Rowlet was trash even though he looked cool.
Saint Sins Grass is always the weakest right? (I only played Silver).
BatBoyShark Your a few games short.
Grass is always trash. Only good grass types have broken abilities. Shamin sky, mega venasaur etc.
I'm really glad Spiderman was included in Spiderman: Homecoming. That would've been a very awkward movie otherwise.

remeber kids it’s stupid to put your company on the line over a emoji movie

That said, I think it would be cool if the studios toy with the Clone Saga in the films and bring Garfield back as Ben Reilly!
Thank you.
Hey rob just a random thought for another video similar to this, could you go in depth on whether or not the x-men can be in the new marvel vs capcom: infinite? Thanks!
Where does the licensing for video games come into play?
2:20.......
The internet has offcially ruined me. First thought of that comic cover jumped to peter doing an ass selfie
hey Rob, curious to hear your review of the movie.
Did Rob just do a low-key Rob Explains?!
Rob something like that almost happened, Marvel wanted D.C. To write and publish their comics. The deal fell through because of a lawsuit that was brought against another comic book company.
8:50 this guy just predicted the Future! Jesus man... you are Legit!
Warner bros. Once owned blade
Can you explain the timeline screw up from Spider-Man Homecoming?
i want the silver surfer in the MCU. i want that scene with adam warlock from the comics. where he zooms across the cosmos to get the gauntlet.
tbh spiderman homecoming was the best spiderman movie so far
Achieved It it never came out
Achieved It nahhhhhhhh, Spider-Man 2 always. Much better villain
Achieved It I say it had the best Spider-Man but not the best supporting cast I feel the Rami movies had the best supporting cast (not Spider-Man 3 that piece of junk) but to each their own :)
Jason Marquez tru
Jason Marquez cant argue with you there cos toby was the best spiderman. i just meant spiderman homecoming was the best story as its the mcu
Lmao at that ending.
I don't think marvel is going to kill off spiderman this early
Hi, does anyone know what the outro music is? Thanks.
it's going to be a Spider Man trilogy at Marvel. Spider Man Homecoming is the first followed by two more solo films.

Oh.
Spiderman is just a teenager with webshooters and a crime fighter.
hey the third spiderman was amazing
The Only Way Miles Morales would work in the series would be if they had built his character over the course of two or three Spider-Man movies and at the end of the third one they kill off Peter Parker and miles takes on The Gauntlet in memory of his Fallen Friend or something of the sort but just to introduce him a cold new character would not be successful
Any idea why don’t has exclusive rights to Spider-Man games?
Hope Marvel pulls something completely unexpected by having two Spider-Men on screen
I am willing to bet there will not be very many smiling faces once the Emoji movie is released.
Spider Island movie where Toby Macguire, Andrew Garfield and Tom Holland cross over. Make it happen!
Who do you think Tom Vaughan-Lawlor is playing in infinity war?
hows your pc been ?
sorry to plug someone else but a more detail explanation is found in fall of the comic empire by sfdebris
