It's actually insane how much this franchise has blown up into the mainstream. Been with Art from the very beginning. I remember how impatient I was waiting for T2 to finally drop... now he's EVERYWHERE in Spencers, Hot Topic, Spirit... by far the greatest slasher villain of THIS generation. He's ours.
I remember wanting to see T1 after seeing All Hallows Eve and sadly it was ruined for me but I eventually seen it and then instantly wanted more and then T2 gets announced and I was excited for the next one! Just the sheer amount of joy my horror loving self had for the practical fx!!

Am I the only weirdo that would ask for a hug from Art? I honestly adore this character! David does the absolute best job bringing art to life, he's brilliant for sure.
Imagine a short where DHT seemingly plays a harmless version of Art IRL at a mall like this, only to cut to a scene of Art doing what he truly loves and dismantling these unsuspecting victims like he does in the movies lol. It would be incredibly effective marketing
How is this deranged killer so dang funny 😂. Like, he is legitimately funny and not even just “pretty funny for being a horror clown” lol. His mannerisms are just so funny in general. So expressive without ever saying a word. Like when he picks up the coffee mug and then does that “oh, look at me being fancy with my coffee mug la-de-da-de-da” motion lmao. Or the “don’t kill me” followed by a smiling shrug lol. DHT is so great in that role.

That was a diff actor playing Art. He decided not to pursue acting, or that role at least....Leone has said that the Art makeup takes 2+ hrs longer than anyone else. The actors had to have made next to nothing , considering that the budget for T1 was 35k , lets say AHE = 25k. What I love too is that this falls into the same loop as the movies. You see him in public. You say it's just some guy in a costume and that it's just for kicks and nobody will get hurt. Peer pressure and being over confident makes you not run but truth be told that's what happens with all the victims in the movies too right before they're sawed in half or something. These movies have really reinforced the fact to me that even if 99.99% of these things in public won't amount to any real danger... I'd still be tempted to run if I saw Art in the mall. Never had a killer/actor that I'd be just as likely to ask for a signature and selfie from as I would be to running away screaming bloody murder.
I love it when actors are still into character when they’re not shooting scenes. And I really like that David is obsessed with the character he became famous for🖤
