Great video as always Evan. What do you think about video proposals? What I mean is starting your proposal with something like: "I dont want to bore you with a canned and copied proposal. Heres a video that I recorded for you where I talk about the job details. Trust me its not something I copy and paste to everybody but its specific to you" and then you actually record yourself talking about the description and why you would be a good fit for the client in a casually recorded video.
It can work if you're REALLY good at it, and fast. Not something I'd do at the Advanced level, but if you're just starting or Intermediate looking to grow, then test it and see how it performs for you

Quick question, is there anytime of the day you consider best for sending proposals?
there's no good or bad time for sending proposals, because the clients are in various timezones anyway. I've noticed what makes a difference is if you apply as early as possible when the new job has been posted. Ideally if you apply within a day after it was posted, it increases your chances to be noticed.

It really depends! I would suggest you then get them to do a Zoom call, where you talk more about the project and next steps, and convert from there.
Thank you for your inspirational videos. My question is about bidding. I see some freelancers bid so much for example 50 connects for 1st place. If I do like this, my connects are finished immediately. There is no guarantee to win the project so what do you advice. Do you think bidding is important to have the job?

Honestly this is a very important question
Boosting doesn't make much difference. Some freelancers spend all their connects on boosting a bad application and don't get anywhere. If your profile and application are good, Upwork will still put you high on the list as a relevant applicant.

Hi! I always used to get replies from an average of 4 to 5 proposals, but for the last 2 months, I have sent almost 45 proposals, only got 3 replies but couldn't get a job. Is Upwork more focused on the project dashboard system?

I'm new to Upwork and have carefully sent 17 proposals. According to the stats, only two of them were viewed by the clients.
I apply to jobs where there is less competition. For example, I sent a proposal to the client, who was looking for someone to do his SQL assignment.
There were less than five proposals. I even solved the hardest question (according to him) because I have no reviews and attached the screenshot of the output, but he didn't even view my proposal. And after a few hours, he hired someone else. I mean, I can't know whether my proposals are appealing or not when clients are not even viewing them.
I think it's because they can see that I'm a beginner and don't bother to open my proposals.
Take on some fixed jobs that are cheap to get 5 star reviews and start with that. It can be very frustrating when you know you’ve done your best and they don’t even see it

How do you check the stats that how many of my proposals were viewed by clients?

Click on stats, and the select the proposals from the drop-down shown on that page.
It doesn't tell which proposals were being viewed, but you can infer/guess that.
For example, in the last 7 days, I have only sent one proposal, and in the stats when I click on proposals and select record for seven days, it shows no views on proposals that means the client didn't view my last proposal.
