- Hey guys! We’ve been off UA-cam for a bit but we are back and excited to bring you guys a ton of amazing recipes in 2021! Today’s spring roll recipe is one that we grew up eating as restaurant kids, but the recipe is so simple anyone can make it! A delicious everyday Chinese snack, spring rolls have a slightly thinner wrap than egg rolls and a crazy satisfying crunch! The filling is flexible to what you like - we chose cabbage, shiitake mushroom, and ground pork, but this dish can easily be converted to be vegetarian by omitting the meat!
Meat Filling
1 lb ground pork
1 tbsp Soy Sauce
1 tbsp Cooking Wine
1 tsp Sesame Oil
1.5 tsp Cornstarch
Non-Meat Filling:
5-6 Dried Shitake mushrooms
1 pack Vermicelli Noodles
1/4 Napa Cabbage
4-5 Cloves Garlic
1/2 can Bamboo Shoots
1/4 Cup Mushroom water
1.5 tbsp soy sauce
1 tsp sesame oil
1 tbsp cooking wine
1/2 tsp five spice
1/2 tsp white pepper powder
Other Ingredients:
Spring Roll Wraps
Frying Oil (to fill pan)
Tips:
Make sure to not stack your folded spring rolls before frying - they will stick and rip apart!
Try not to overfill the spring roll or the wrap could tear while frying

Why don’t you guys post more UA-cam videos!? I love them!
Haha they’re a lot more work than the IG Reels we produce due to the length & detail in them. But trying to post more consistently on UA-cam!

I want to eat it all!!! 😍 nom nom nom.
Looks amazing! I always feel bad using all that oil to fry the rolls haha
we reuse our oil for cooking other things! Put in a bowl & use the amount you need for to cook! :)
I adore spring rolls. Iv ordered them at a take out Chinese restaurant but not good. I'm going to make these. Where do you get the noodles?..are they glass vermicelli noodles. I have an Asian store near me, I can try if they have them
yes they're rice vermicelli noodles, they should be at most grocery stores!
I'd totally add char siu!
😭 the umami in this small thing!!! It's like a bomb I'm ready to put in my mouth. Spring rolls are my husband's favorite, though I don't really have one good recipe that I stick to. But this one looks amazing. I should buy some cooking wine soon. Also, cooking the noodles with everything else makes more sense. I tried one recipe and it was only softened and added to the already cooked filling, so it lacked the flavor. Ahhhhh I can binge watch your videos, Ewa! You're adorable. ❤
Could you please do a vegetarian version please?
Looks delicious. I’m so hungry now. I need to get some. Are these taiwanese spring rolls? I typically don’t see taiwanese eating spring rolls much. I find these are more of a Hong Kong food.
This is more Cantonese, you'll typically find these at dim sum :)
@@nom_life yep. I remember a video you mentioned you are taiwanese so I was thinking “are these taiwanese style?” My wife is from Taiwan. And I’ve been to Taiwan many times. But only see spring rolls at Cantonese style restaurants. Anyway, they look delicious. And you guys do an awesome video making these videos. Superb quality.

Egg Rolls made in reference to a culture’s corresponding body part. Sad. Also Egg Roles are a small part in a movie played by an Asian actor.
