- The Nokia Lumia 1020 is a Windows phone from 2013 running windows 8 and eventually updatable to windows 8.1 and maybe windows 10 mobile unofficially. I bought this Lumia 1020 from ebay for a super cheap price since it was labelled as a Nokia Lumia 920. It seems like the battery on this phone is bloated and it does not power on. The windows logo keeps blinking when I plug in a charger. Its also considered as a collectors item at this age and since I am phone collector with a massive phone collection, having this phone was a must. I will also do a Using the Nokia 1020 in 2021 video or a Nokia 1020 2021 or Nokia in 2021. Also Windows phone in 2021. It ain't no iPhone 12 Pro Max, Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra, Motorola Edge S or OnePlus 8T but its definitely an interesting phone in its own league.
So this is part 1 of me trying to fix this Lumia 1020. Part 2 will be up as soon as I get a battery replacement.

Thank you, for making & posting this video, it's interesting & very useful. I adore & use every day, my Nokia Lumia 1020. I don't use my 'phone for anything regularly but calls & texts - a bit of browsing online & taking notes, playing some Blue-toothed music, but I don't do much more with it. My laptop covers everything else, so, the fact that Windows 'phones are no longer supported, doesn't affect me too much. Yet, I do, really wish there had been more commitment to the Windows 'phone platform.
I hate Android with a passion - it's so ugly & clunky; the Moto G8 Power Lite I bought is the worst 'phone I've ever had - every update changes something for the worse - I lost all my photo folders in one update, started again & then, it lost them again, with the next update. Nothing like that ever happened with my Lumia 1020, or the Lumia 1520, that eventually died on me. I'd like to know, if it's possible to retrieve data, from a dead 1520? Anyway - I loved the Moto 1990s flip, it's the only reason I bought the G8; I do, fully regret purchasing that. Apple iPhones are ridiculously expensive - they bring a new one out every year, that is more expensive than the last one - what a racket! Most Android-manufacturer companies have jumped on that bandwagon. It's organised crime!
I just want a reasonably-priced, functioning Windows 'phone for the rest of my life, not all the other rubbish. I love the interface of Windows - the tiles are much more attractive than floating Android icons. Personalising a Windows 'phone is easy & fun. Androids just look like other Androids. The same goes with the iPhone - they all look the same.
Now you should use it to film if it gets fixed. I am thinking of buying a couple soon as they genuinely have good quality on the camera.
Naah its 1080p 30fps. Its still photography is what's good. Video was basic for the time. They are quite pricy hence why it took so long for me to get one. Make sure you are on Ebay as much as u can
How do I figure out what kind of Nokia I have? It looks similar but port is on top, won’t charge even plugged in. Certain screens may pop up time to time but shuts black again seconds later
