@@KWallyeven then, those are still made in the same factory and pretty much using the same method as the adidas indos. As far as I heard, they plan to change to their own manufacturing in a couple of years, so we’ll see for real then.
I think the ceo of fanatics realized that they had to step up their game. Not a defense but from a statistical standpoint they were / are not wrong that given the number of items they produce their mess up rate is not bad. That said I think the internet which can really be bad did some good here and they tightened up their QC. If it dips again there is no doubt people will give it to them and hopefully they respond in a way that gives the people what they want. It is cool I think that they went back to selling true game jerseys. Personally not for me but for people that want that choice that is great. Truth is I get my limited jerseys on Alibaba abd it’s kinda crazy how good they look for 30 / 40 $.
I never realized that this entire time that the logo is the side shot face of a wild cat up until a year ago. Absolutely mind blowing considering how I’ve been familiar with the logo for close to 20 years and finally noticed this just recently.
Always nice to see Yvonne on these broadcasts. I like to get a woman's perspective on hockey issues and with her being a seamstress, I enjoy hearing her take on the jerseys. Thanks.
It was nice seeing the Wild logo up close. I just bought a few Wild cards that have a game worn jersey patch peice in them. Eriksson Ek and Dumba. The patches are the evergreen trees.
Oh that is so cool. I am also currently working on getting a Fanatics pro Wild jersey as well and ngl I'm excited for it. But again awesome to see Fanatics doing something cool and nice for Yvonne
Update just got it in and it is every bit as gorgeous as I thought it would be and it is a great heavy duty product that I think can survive for a long time.
7:17 Something myself, and other Devils fans have noticed, the red on the Fanatics jerseys seem more pink-ish than the Adidas with their uniforms. I noticed it during the preseason with their home uniforms, after checking them out in the team store in person you can tell too. It's interesting it's the same thing for the wild too
Thanks Yvonne for the seamstress eye detail. Will you be doing anything to protect the jersey? I remember in your past jersey care videos you'd spray silver thread to prevent it from coming apart. Wondering if you have any tips to help prolong the life of a jersey from the get go.
Will be Scotch guarding it. That's a really good way to protect any Jersey in the first place. This gold thread likely won't fray like the old reeboks, but protecting the threads is always good. Also helps prevent stains.
Shannon if you want to borrow my Reebok Edge 2.0 size 46 or Adidas MiC warmup size 46, you could borrow it for filming purposes. Just can meet up with you or the Mrs. prior to an Abby game.
As someone who probably won’t be handling an Authentic Pro anytime soon, could you please comment as to how the actual fabric feels to the touch compared to the mid-tier premium jerseys? Is it the same material, just more of it? Is it softer, etc? Thanks!
I buy the Adidas Authentic Jerseys, but now that I know these Authentic Pro jerseys exist, I want a Kraken one. Now to figure out where to get one. That Wild jersey is really nice. Thanks for sharing.
Shannon, please ask them when are the Pro Jersey's actually going to be for sale? I have been looking up for my team since they took over and all that is available is to pre-order for certain players in only the primary jersey.
Thanks Yvonne and Shannon for the quality inspection. I didn't think this was an apples to apples comparison as the Fanatics one was an authentic. Huge price difference from an authentic verses possibly a replica. Let's hope that 10 year contract made Fanatics aware of how fans are closely seeing if it's worth buying.
Beautiful jersey. But you can’t compare a made in Canada to the retail authentic adidas. Compare the fanatics pro to the adidas MIC. Of course the Canada ones are the best!
Of course you can compare the differences between any two jerseys. This is a comparison of the top tier jerseys that are sold to consumers. The Adidas mic jerseys were only sold as player worn, not available to the public. We will be doing more videos comparing different jerseys as well.
@ Yes I know adidas didn’t sell the MIC and fanatics does. But you still can’t compare the fanatics pro to the adidas authentic. The adidas authentic is the same as the fanatics premium version. Of course the fanatics pro is way better than the adidas authentic!!! That’s like comparing a Ferrari to a KIA.
2:34 so all the Adidas "authentics" had the fight straps sewn in with a white cover, I guess they changed that. It was one thing to easily spot a fake. I wonder how long before we see fake Fanatics.
So which one is the closest to on the ice fanatic pro or fanatic premium ones ?? I’m trying buy myself a fanatic jerseys which will be the Winnipeg jets
I juat picked up a prime green made in Canada St. Louis Blues away jersey for $125 when I attended the game against the Capitals this past week. Was a steal when I could walk to the other side of the arena and buy a Fanatics made in Canada for $430.
I wish the Wild experimented with brighter colors. Forest green and iron range red is nice, but I feel like going with a brighter green/red combo could be really cool at least as a 3rd jersey. But if you do that, you replace the wheat color with white.
so this is equal to the adidas MiC authentics - so the like the CCM authentic ? what was the other Fanatics called ? was it Fanatics Premium ? and the Premium is like the adidas authentic we got for 7 years ?
This is not really a fair comparison. The Adidas more compatible was the Reebok premier line. This is like comparing apples to oranges. I do not have a Fanatics version yet but I have the Adidas pro and the Reebok pro version and both were great.
The differences are slight, but the Adidas jerseys still look a touch better. I'd also argue the colors are a bit more rich on the Adidas jerseys. Aside from that, in my own experience, the QC on the new Fanatics jerseys is not as good as with the Adidas, because I've noticed a lot more frays in the stitching with Fanatics.
As much as I love the the adidas jerseys, the dimples were annoying to me. Glad fanatics got rid of them.. but damn… shocked at how good those jerseys look
While I likely won’t go for authentic pros when it comes to most nhl jerseys I get since the premium tier is still a solid product , for my favorite teams I’ll probably go for one or two when sales can be found because the heavier duty fabric and construction overall is a noticeable step up (as it should be for actual game use).
Thank you for this video, Shannon and Yvonne! Very informative. Now that you provided an accurate size comparison, it has me now wonder if I should go back to the original size I bought for Adidas Primegreen jerseys whenever I can afford to get a Fanatics Authentic Pro. Ever since Adidas screwed up the sizing on the Reverse Retro 2.0 jerseys, I went to from a size 52 to 54 for more room in the pits area. I have bought size 54 ever since. But now that I see Yvonne's new Authentic Pro as a size 48 is equivalent to a size 50 Primegreen, I wonder if I should go for size 52 for the Authentic Pro. Guessing that I should still get size 54 for the Fanatics Premiums though. I agree, the price tag is so expensive that I cannot afford to normally buy them. I probably would save it for a team that either I'm a long time fan of or a jersey that will become scarcely rare in the future. I could see myself getting a Rangers one. Oh and it is too bad the Coyotes no longer exist because they would qualify as worthy enough for an Authentic Pro purchase. Imagine the detailing on the on-ice jersey from Fanatics. Just too bad.
@@TheHockeyGuy No I didnt but I assure you I WILL BE paying for mine. Thus the questions. I still have a few jerseys I would like to get, that is why I asked. Its cool though, I will figure it out. Thanks though
10:00 I've been waiting for this. I wear a size 50 in the Adidas Indos and have size 46 in the Edge 2.0 and glad its very similar to the Adidas Indo size 50 but just slightly larger.
No because the on ice Adidas were not available at a retail level. The on ice Fanatics are, so I am showing the difference for people considering getting a Pro who may already have an Adidas retail.
It looks like the material is bunched slightly more in the fanatics one, which idk maybe as they make more they’ll be a little more polished on that but there are definitely things about the fanatics one, to my eye, that makes it looked a touch less polished than the adidas one.
I have a Bruins Primegreen game worn MIC authentic jersey. Same differences you point out between the on ice and Indo. Only other thing is the On Ice game worn MIC has everything stitched/sewn on. No applique or heat pressed. Numbers are dual layer fabric sewn on and shoulder patches are sewn on, not applique or heat pressed.
Would be curious how it compares quality-wise to a canadian made adidas. Hard to compare to the indos. Not sure ive ever seen a canadian adidas up close before. Or heck, even compare the canadian fanatics to the indonesian ones. The canadian reebok were massively different from the indonesian ones.
I have both. The only major difference (besides the dimples) is that while the Adidas has reinforced elbows, Fanatics has reinforced the entire sleeve from above the elbow and down, per players requests. Otherwise, the jerseys are similar.
You are comparing a made in Canada Jersey with a Made in Indonesia one, the real comparison would be an authentic pro and an Adidas Canada made. or a fanatics Premium with this primegreen
You’re kidding me, the box can’t have a better presentation for the price. Forget about the rest, I really have a problem with the presentation of the box
Who among us thought Fanatics would come through? Not. Me. Awesome! Thanks for the review guys!
These are made in Canada, right? Of course they'd be amazing!
But will they keep it up for the next 10 years....
Because this is SP with Fanatics branding. The true comparision would be Adidas premier to the mid tier Fanatics,
