    My son and I have enjoyed Seville to the extent that anyone else could not ever imagine thanks to the video and the weather over the past few days and planned to go to Granada through Ronda on Dec 27th. I found car rental price runs through the roof. Hoping to share my car at 08:00 AM on Dec 27th with a family of two or three. Hit me back at my email to discuss a plan. I did not consider this cost at all but I would love to visit Ronda as guided in the clip. Thanks for the clip. It was very helpful in planning this trip. 1:22

    • @worldwildhearts

      They were originally built to allow messengers on horseback to quickly ascend and descend the tower to deliver important information!

    Sorry but that is not the Guadalquivir but a canal formed from the old river. The river was been rerouted to the west a long time ago..

    Unless you're a staunch Catholic nutter, STAY AWAY from Seville during EASTER.
    We visited here about 8 years ago and were horrified that on each night, we couldn't get back to our hotel room.
    That's because huge crowds of (often drunk) 'pilgrims' were blocking the narrow streets with their silly marches and rituals. They usually carried large ugly pasos, kind of like parade floats, depicting some type of biblical event.
    Authorities had road blocks erected all over the place from about 6 pm until around 11 pm - 12 midnight.
    And if you get claustrophobic, this IS NOT FOR YOU!!!
    We had a much more enjoyable time in Granada, Barcelona and a beautiful little town called Ronda.

    • @LMPV4
      @LMPV4 8 місяців тому +1

      Drunk pilgrims? In the parades? Where have you seen those? You must be joking. They come out of a church with very strict rules that they must follow during the whole parade. Ugly pasos? They are master pieces, some dating back to the 16th c. The parades, as you see them today, date back to that century as well. Yes, better to stay away from Seville if an anthropological manifestation that has been going on each Easter for more than 500 years is not for you. There are many more weeks to go there when you will only be bothered by other tourists. Stay away from the locals and what you call their "silly rituals". 🙈🙉

      I would recommend with that attitude you never leave home.

    • @learnwithlisa24
      @learnwithlisa24 2 місяці тому

      your entire comment reeks of ignorance. There are no pilgrims in Semana Santa, there are penitents, and they are the ones processing and often times fasting, NOT even eating let alone drinking.
      Don't bother coming back, we don't want you here with that attitude.
