Extremely rare public appearance by Steve Gurley! Absolute legend, even if he only played about 4 tunes in this set lol. Great to see him and John joining forces again
After 30 years the music of Foul Play still sounds out of this world. It´s hard to pinpoint what makes the Foul Play sound what it is but it´s in a league on it´s own. So characteristic, remarkable, intelligent yet powerful. I salute you guys! Congrats on the booking Lewis and crew, see you soon in the shop!
The sunday rush! Steve Gurley's music changed my life & the UK dance music landscape. He's an absolute iconic legend! John Morrow's hardcore selection sounds awesome! Thank you planet-wax.
Steve Gurley was part of Foul Play?! 😮 Wow! From Finest Illusion to Walk On By and now some super chilled Liquid DnB, thank you for the music! 😊 Lucky enough to still have both those former tracks on vinyl too, perceys! 😁
Peckham Laserdorme 92-94 vibes - Moving Shadow, Good Looking, Foul Play & Photek really set the pace and complemented the immersive Laserdome experience so well. Great memories, keep trucking guys.
I attempt to explain to peeps the vibe of LD from rudebwoys pushing in the queeue at the start then all the police waiting outside at the end. Best jungle events imo
@@MylesLaiCheong indeed, I was around the circuit a lot and often helped drive DJs from venue to venue. The LD was a truly unique experience with it's tunnels, alcoves and platforms. I grew up during the Troubles in the north of Ireland, so wasn't phased by the wannabe Gs and if anything the sinister vibe amped up atmosphere. How on earth Fish convinced the Prodigy to play there in '93 was amazing. Keep it lit.
What a great driving job. Smoking a spliff and playing jungle on a tape or listening to radio transporting djs. I totally agree with the bad vibes contributing to the appeal. I explain that also.
Foul Play were the producer's producers back in the day. Hard-core Jungle at its finest. Their tunes had everything, emotion, excitement, bassline, and they twisted amen like only very few could...part of my soundtrack!@@
It’s John Morrow guys just a quick heads up 💪🏾 Fantastic set from John and Steve two of the OG junglists and Foul Play pioneers. Any chance of a track list please? 😉 Also, can you guys get together and make some more Foul Play tunes!! 💪🏽
@@andrewbale3766 Yep! Banger! - managed to find this when I was about 18 in about 2003. If I ever get my hands on a copy it's going straight on the wall in a protective frame.
The bro went into some 90’s classics that got me jumping, and I was expecting the crowd to go off, but I forgot, it’s a new era, no disrespect but some of these heads may not even know they are hearing classic gold from the roots….salute and biggups tho to the selectorz and the crowd tho still a fire set
In my defence (I was there) it was in the afternoon, people were just arriving...and most importantly I'm an old bast4rd so it's maximum enthusiasm, minimum movement these days. The fact we were all there tells you we knew the score.

the best tracks played by him i'd say

Regarding their sound…. Summat to do with Moving Shadow? Perhaps the studio was ahead of the pack? Or they are so perfectionist? 👊👊👊 Renegade Snares.
100% - there's something so haunting about their work. True pioneers.
Big ups to these absolute dons.
