You actually don't need a bass bone you can do this on a tenor with a tenor mouthpiece with a standard F valve trigger. you just have to develop your low register. It's a pedal note so same position as the higher Eb (3rd). They way you develop the range is by playing a pedal low Bb and then slurring down to A natural in second. Once that is strong start slurring down to Ab in third etc. Eventually you will learn the correct embouchure, diaphragm support, and air needed to hit these notes powerfully. While it is easier to hit it on a bass trombone it can be done on a tenor with practice. As a side note some composers prefer tenor trombones to play these super low notes because it brings a harsher sound to them.
this is so good, how do i hit the low Eb at 7:45 though, im a sucker for low note and the lowest i can go is like an A natural below the staff
