You guys are hilarious. I learned this technique during my short time in beauty school (I'm a beauty school drop ooout). This is a professional technique being used in salons!! And your pinned curls were Class S perfect. You did a great job. Her hair looks absolutely beautiful!

I did this to my pixie cut today! It gave me more of a wave, since there wasn't much hair to wrap around itself. You're right--practice is much needed.
When you went to the front view before doing Leslie's sort of side bang section, her hair looked really pretty up. The way the pinks and purples mix together is really nice.
Also, I know everyone has probably at least heard of curlers but I've done this with wet hair and foam curlers the night before and got results pretty close to this. It does make sleeping a bit uncomfortable though. haha
Thank you God I have not been able to find a good tutorial on pin curls. Everytime I watch your videos I always wish I could get my hair to curl like yours. This was super helpful thank you albinwonderland it was awesome.

I can't describe how much I love this.
I love what curls do to colored hair. I used to HATE curly hair. Before I dyed my hair, I would straighten it a LOT. But ever since I started doing fun colors....and thus bleaching a lot....I've learned to embrace heatless styling, and curls. And what I've found, is curly hair disguises subtle patchiness in my color, and makes it look so much more alive and healthy.

Just a tip everyone! If you find that your hair is creasing when you use bobby pins, you can get pincurl clips or duck bill clips. They can be found at any beauty supply store like Sally's. :) Great tutorial Albin! Really enjoyed it!
It's so much harder to do them with Bobby pins in my opinion! Especially for flat pin curls, like I never thought I could do pin curls until I got clips.
+spottyjo It can be super difficult especially for fine hair because the pin doesn't have as much hair to grip. Clips are a godsend! XD
+Shawntay Arroyo yessssss! honestly i've been doing pin curls forever, and i HATED it with bobby pins, i did it anyways because I don't like heat and i'm lazy in the morning, but once I got pincurl clips from sallys i was much happier, and my scalp was much happier lol.

For that little stubborn end of the strand, my momma gave me a fantastic tip. When she used to perm her hair, she'd wrap the end in a square of toilette paper. I do the same thing now and I no longer get those super crazy wild ends. Perhaps you can try it out!
been waiting for this forever, you were what started my pincurl adventure! now i do it every 5 days, its become a habit! i have super thick hair thats about as long as yours, and probably double the thickness, and i use almost 100 pin curl clips lol. I'd love to see different patterns, i usually alternate directions because i like spiral curls, but it'd be nice to see how you do it :)

Have you ever tried flexi rods or perm rods? May not be as nice to sleep in, but you can get some really pretty curls with them too. It does depend a bit on how you wrap and things like that but clearly you understand that concept already.
