This one I had much trouble with the first part. It sounds to me like the producers shifted Ariana's melody a sixteenth or so compared to the beat (or shifted the beat), and when the drums and bass come in then the melody gets aligned. What do you think is happening?
You dont have to worry about it. It sounds AMAZING. Could u do A thousand years OR a pretty/sad song from Billie Eilish.
ooo I see what you mean. But after listening to it and counting a bunch of times I think the words "BE MISS and GIVE" all start on beat 1 and "I, But, and And" start on the 12th sixteenth note (4th 16th note on beat 3) but the beat makes it sound trippy at first but it aligns ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Possibly done on purpose to make the song feel more stylized.
Maybe you're right. When I play my arrangement on top of the original it seems to align though, so idk.. :D
