What a sublime performance! Johnny also made jazz performances on player piano rolls. I saw him play in person at a jazz festival, and his talent was so impressive and amazing, it was sheer magic! So is this rare film, one jazz great playing another jazz great! Just think, everytime this video is played, Bix Lives!
I have commented elsewhere that Johnny played harpsichord on Artie Shaw's Summit Ridge Drive. I have never heard him as a soloist before, a superb pianist.
I have been looking for a JG original called "Uno" . not sure of the spelling but it was written for left hand only... mp3 midi sheet or any medium would be great.

If you liked Johnny's harpsichord playing with The Gramercy Five, you should hear the same on Shaw's "When The Quail Come Back From San Quentin"! Wow!
Actually, Johnny Guarneri was one of the most talented pianists EVER.
Agreed! Thanks, Antony!
Woah never heard him before

You should contact Johnny's #1 protege, Jim Turner who probably has it or knows where to find it.
