As a young person who got my private pilots lisence at 17 and driving license at 21, this is awesome stuff! your videos helped me a lot to get through the driving quickly! Thanks
Tip for recording these if you keep going: if your microphone is small enough and the cable thin enough then pop the mic into one of the cups of of your headset - it will record your instructor and your own voice as you get your voice fed back into your own headset. And will reduce the engine noise massively. Good luck with flying! I did flying lessons before learning to drive and personally i found it easier
That’s so cool. I was given a fixed wing lesson for a birthday present and it was so much fun!! I loved your face as he first lifted off the ground. It’s always interesting seeing ‘the teacher’ being taught. 😊👍
I hope you enjoy your time learning to fly, the feeling of freedom is great when you are flying, I got my pilot's licence when I was young and actually obtained it before I obtained my driving licence, and passed my GFT first attempt, wish I could say that for my driving test, hey ho.
And you know what else would be awesome! Imagine! If aman did like a crossover with DGN driving and conquer driving. You know the other two popular driving instructors. I forgot those two guys names. But wouldn’t that be slick to see?!🤔👍😜😱
Coolboygamr8693, yeah. Someone finally agrees. Imagine combining these 3 popular british driving instructors. but the most popular American driving instructor I believe is that one guys channel. 🤔is called smart drive test. and his name is Rick. I like his contents. Very intuitive.but i do have a question. Has aman ever driven in the usa before? If not, wouldn’t you guys love to see that in her future training videos?
as an avgeek/student pilot, this made me smile 😅 i love seeing people take up flying, whether its a one time thing or not. i wish you did your discovery flight in a cessna 172 or pa28 tho. way better aircraft. hopefully the next time will be more hands on for you. lovwly video
Very interesting to see this. I'm both interested in planes and cars so it's interesting for me from that perspective but also to see a driving instructor become a plane learner. Very cool video and I think it's also the right direction for your channel! Can't wait for more. Keep it up! :D
As an aviation enthusiast and someone who watches all the planes flying above you in the videos and being able to name all of them, this is THE video for me! :D
I was learning to fly and drive a car at the same time. I always found flying much easier than driving a car in semi busy city. I think it's because you do the hard part (preparation) before the flight.
Always nice to see a new convert, very exciting 💜👍✌️😊 The C42 will almost fly on its own when up, a well designed (although the ergonomics could be a little better), capable little aeroplane. The 80 bhp version climbs really well, especially when compared to Eg a Piper Cherokee or Cessna 150/152, the 100 bhp version is like a little rocket! The Eurostars (EV97) are even more slippery 😊 Nice to see Booker again, I was there many years ago, aged 3 - 4 watching (from the ground) my dad learn to fly Condors, then C150's. I well remember that hedge and the wooden buildings, I'm surprised that they're still there. When I was a kid, if I recall correctly, there was no tarmac hardstand at the front of the hedge, just grass, come to think of it, I seem to recall white fencing too🤔🤔 I'm surprised they didn't have you sat in the left seat🤔🤔 My first microlight lesson the instructor had me taxi out and then after some upper air handling stuff we did stalls. Everyone gets nervous, fixates, gets glazed eyes, holds on too tightly, over controls etc, all natural and instructors have seen it all before 💜✌️😊 Enjoy your next lesson✌️💜😊
I guess the pilot didn't get to watch too many videos from learning-to-drive YT channels, including yours, Aman. Otherwise, he'd probably have a constant fear running in the back of his head that, being a driving instructor, should you panic at any moment, you might instinctively stamp on that rudder-right pedal! :D Great video, and thanks so much for sharing this adventure with us!
Quick tip for next time, on some planes you are actually able to connect the headphones to the camera in order for the audio to be picked up directly from the headsets
It's good to see you trying new things such as This! since you are already a driving Instructor, It would be cool to see you develop in to a Pilot as well! weirdly as somebody learning to drive, I think I would find learning to fly a plane a bit less Intimidating, after playing a lot of Microsoft flight simulator then I would a car! and I say that as generally most of those flight sessions have never gone wrong, where as with my driving, my recent Instructor compared to ones I have had years ago just seem really impatient, moans about me rushing and the way I break (and It's not like I am doing it suddenly with no warning( and I don't think that helps with learning and development, mistakes then get made, hopefully one day I will overcome this.. you seem like one of the good ones anyway! hope this new journey your undertaking goes well also.
Hi Aman. Just come across your channel. Like you I’m an ADI but it was the flying that grabbed my attention as I’m also a private pilot. Really enjoyed how you put this video together. Hope to see more aviation ones from you 😊👍
Awesome get the first flight out of the way first.you won't be as nervous and tense the second time more time's you go up it will get easier.the sooner you can relax the better for you than you can start learning more about how to fly.good luck with your progress you will be a pilot in eight months Philip.👍🍀
By complete coincidence this video released on the same day I took my first solo glider flight! I’m 15! Looking forward to learning to drive, I’ve had some practise of clutch control in a Land Rover on a driveway - you can legally solo a glider in the UK at 14 but can’t drive a car until 17🤷♂️
I would suggest that you add your personal YT channel to your this channel "Channels" tab. I just remembered you have another channel and had to dig in to the description of this video to find it.
For anyone wondering ....... Around £140 per hour; the minimum legal requirement is 25 hours but realistically plan for 40 + depending on age, previous experience and aptitude. 7 exams at £30 a go plus a few books which you can find second hand online and a few hundred for extras. All in budget for about £6000 + which will get you a NPPL(M) licence. This is in contrast to a full PPL (A) licence in a much heavier aircraft capable of carrying 4 + people; outlay typically twice + as much at £15,000. You can upgrade later. A lot of reading and understanding the theory and practicality in parallel with actual flying. (Some relatively cheap sim experience on a home PC def helps and keeps the lesson costs down) Someone at our airfield did the whole thing in 5 weeks (good weather 😃) studying every evening for the exams, so it can be done ! but most take a fair bit longer due to the weather and time constraints etc. Probably one of the most exacting things you will achieve in life; go get !
Looks fun tbh im considering trying a couple of lessons just to experience it, always love flying planes/helis in video games lol, tried Microsoft flight sim recently and really enjoyed that as well, idk why id never really thought about at least trying one lesson to see how it is in real life
Hi Aman,, it’s so great that you’re taking this step and becoming a learner yet again, you are being very brave and I’m sure that you will make a great pilot 🤗 I hope to learn to fly also, maybe we can be fellow learners to flying, I’ve always shown an interest in aviation, so yeah, great job Aman 🤗❤️☺️👍
Well done, i know how you felt. My family brought me a helicopter lesson for my 50th, and when i had the controls, i was so scared I'd move the stick or pedals too far and cause problems..
Hi nice video it’s good to see you as a learner for once 😊 one other thing you should of adjusted the shutter speed on your camera when you was inside the plane studio to get rid of the flicker? Not sure if you noticed it.
I'm suprised he hasn't demonstrated a stall/spin. That was the first thing I was shown, the first time I went up. I feel that should be mandatory. & to gauge how confident someone is. Make them do the radio calls to the tower.
Hyyyy this is my flight school, I got my private pilots license from there , I did learnt from booker aviation tho the one on the first entrance , People there are lovelyyyyyy , u will love it, I m so excited for u Watching this was same as my initial flying lessons It’s just beautiful feeling The day u start controlling the aircraft will feel magical
As someone who went solo in a plane before learning to drive a car this video was honestly awesome.
Lol there is a UK girl on r/flying whos on track to complete her airline pilot ratings and she doesn't have a license yet xD!
@lucyt7878 same ahaha flew solo at 14!
@@hirum447my son did it flying lessons at 14
Got my skydiving license before learning to drive, got my drivers license last month- but flying is more fun ;)
@@hirum447don’t you have to be 16?

Yeah I'm in the same boat. This was awesome

So glad you did a flying lesson and even more glad you recorded it and posted it here! Looks like it was a lot of fun! 🛩
This is so wholesome and exciting! Hope you continue your flying lessons.

It’s always interesting seeing ‘the teacher’ being taught. 😊👍
Congratulations on your first flying lesson Aman. I really hope that you go for more lessons!
Wow Aman! I feel your excitement and nervousness on your first driving lesson. Look forward to following your air borne journey

Aman!!!! You are sooooo brave! I literally could not! You did bloody brilliant! Well done 👏👏👏
Will this become a regular series? That would be awesome to watch.
So ummm becoming a flying instructor next? 😅
And shes going to teach erin first? Or safro. 🤟🤣😛

I hope I can do this one day. This is really cool and thank you for sharing your first time flying experience.
Great to see you learning like us learners in cars 😄, I love watching ur videos I’m obsessed

Great video, I love the juxtaposition of you being an instructor then student. Good content, looking forward to future posts. Good luck...
This was incredible Aman, thanks for this content! Best part was you calling the runway a slip road 😂
I've only ever seen a few of your shorts until now and this is amazing, i'd love to see more of your progress with avation :D

What happens when you select the wrong gear and engine stalls mid-air😂. Use the parking break??
