- Hurricane Beryl was moving toward Jamaica Tuesday, still at Category 5 strength. Parts of the Caribbean saw strong winds and rough waters as the historic storm moved west.

I’m a Katrina survivor and I did not sleep last night worrying about Jamaican residents. Please take this seriously. Find strong shelter if possible, also canned food and water. I remember the calm before the storm. It’s easy to hope that everything will be okay, but it’s coming so stay safe.

This is no joke what Jamaica is about to go through
It will become ground zero
No power, food, shelter, and it will be very difficult to get help
We are talking months and months of this
