There is only so much that can be recovered from Prince's legendary "vault" (but there is still also some of his "digital content" from his old website to be put out ). We miss him, but some of the material released over recent years is really worth listening to again! ☺
As the poster mentioned, this was released online briefly and then got removed by the Estate after a day or two, I believe. I was able to download it before it got removed. Also, I have a copy on vinyl which are still floating around out there. 👍🏾
Sometimes i just wonder what the hell is up with Prince and the prince estate. Why did Prince not release amazing material like this? There must be weeks and months worth of amazing music in his vault but the estate rarely releases anything, and if they do its not that interesting. I get that they want to be careful with releasing prince’s music because this may not be what he wanted with it, although its never confirmed why these albums didnt get released, but at the same time, he’s not here anymore, and he’ll never get the chance to change his mind about what he’ll do with the music.
Prince had problems with Warner Brothers and distributions of his work. Prince had made so much music, he could have gave half his vault of songs away that can be spread to 200 musicians and he would still never run out of material. I have close to 2500 songs released/unreleased, demos, junk projects, rehearsals, live concerts, in studio performances/outtakes, videos & movies he produced. Just an ABSOLUTE Genius, Prince IS Music. Jazz, Soul, Blues, Country _(yes Country),_ Gospel, Rock, R&B, Rap, Techno, Symphony rival or complement that of Beethoven or Mozart. Too bad he didn't have children to pass those musical genes forward.

Some of what I have by Prince is NOT for release due to it being just bad _(Even Pro's have bad times)._ One song by him is really bad, I had to delete it _(I don't remember name)._ Me as _Hobby-Musician_ know how that is, some stuff I created is just trash. But I still keep My recordings for Myself for what *_not_* to do and just laugh sometimes at them when I listen knowing I will never put it out. Even My Son's (26) very early creations of music back when he first started creating at age 10 is awful but I kept encouraging him even though he didn't like his works. Now he's very confident and BETTER than Me. We both laugh at Our bad music.
The official Prince channel here does have a fantastic assortment of his works. "Originals", "1999 (expanded)", imho are highlights (along with the "greatest hits" and "anthologies"). even the Hit & Run projects are out here. ☺

I somewhat agree. Am so annoyed with the Estate's constant release of old recordings on vinyl. Today's vinyl, are digital recording transferred onto vinyl, in no way shape or form are they capturing original analog sound. I too wish they would release songs and videos from the vault.
