Mungyo watercolors are vibrant and beautiful, they lay down and display nicely. But they are craft grade when it comes to lightfast quality. They do handle like professional quality, but the pigments used, especially in the reds are combinations of industrial and food/cosmetic dyes, which are at best rated ASTM III and below. If you design and scan for prints this is a convenient set with good visual quality, they just will not last under UV light.

Just a note, these colors do better when you wet the pans and give them a minute to activate fully, especially the metallics. I haven’t had any gritty/grainy/flakey issues doing it this way. These paints also work well with water brushes because they are so intense and creamy that the flow of water brushes doesn’t wash them out or dull them.
The order is kind of weird. I think they are trying to keep the “natural/earthy” colors away from the more “floral/vivids” colors. That can help people from accidentally grabbing a really unrealistic color in the middle of a natural landscape, especially beginners.
Overall great set, I love how vivid they can be with little water which makes them great on non-watercolor paper (like crafts, card making, and good quality coloring books for adults).

After they dry do they feel chalky? Thank you for the video and I agree with the order they were in I would have changed them too

Dry they feel kind.of grainy and a little bit chalky yes, but when I wet them they're fine.

@@sandyowncrafts No worries! Thank you there have been some watercolors that say they are professional but are chalky. I watercolor my journal page background so chalky is the worst. I also hate my art work to feel chalky which means it will fade. Thank you again for answering my questions. Love and light to you.
