    I’ll be checking this out. Always looking for different ways to troll for the trout. I’m usually on my kayak so lake troll etc are a little much most of the time.

      PNW FISHING TV I’ve got a few videos of trolling. I got a video catching a 5lber on a huge castmaster on the troll. Totally lucky on that one.

      @@Hook2Cook Awesome. I also LOVE fishing for bass. We have decent bass fisheries in my area. We're getting close to when fishing for them turns on around here. I can hardly wait.

      PNW FISHING TV YES! The bass bite is turning on here right now. So many options here in central California. If your ever down here let me know! We can set up a session or teo

    As a Santa Barbara local, the short 25 minute drive up there always is worth the fishing. Last time got skunked from shore so I’ll try out those rapalas! 🤟

    You should try using patented 3" Prowler Planers to spread your baits out and cover a much wider path and they are the only planers you can steer! Watch some videos at www.ProwlerPlaners.com

    I’m thinking that going deeper might make a difference. Never really thought about that when trolling. Saw a video of a guy using an egg sinker, bead then barrel swivel. He ran his leader with a wedding ring off that. I’ll have to try that. Seemed like a good way to stay deeper and still be able to switch lures out. I’d probably use a snap swivel instead of the barrel though.
    Liked the video. The one that came off looked like it was good size. I love seeing them jump when they are hooked. Feels like they are mocking me when they are jumping all around me and not biting.

      Thanks for joining. I've been looking at the clip on style weight systems. Looks super promising. Its spring loaded and you can add your weights. I just dont like adding weights unless I absolutly have to because I like feeling the bait wiggle.

    Great job. That's exactly what I went through with that wind! I should have gone deeper too. I was close and in that same area. I'll know next time.

    • @Hook2Cook
      @Hook2Cook  5 років тому

      The wind was no joke that day! I think a big factor was the rain the night before but if there was a clear day the day before it would’ve been a lot nor productive! Next time... ;)

    Very cool video! We're going to have to try trolling on the pontoon. We normally go to our fishing spot and anchor down. Thanks for making this video. Now we know we have other options to catch lunch or dinner.

    • @Hook2Cook
      @Hook2Cook  5 років тому +1

      It’s such a great idea. These boats naturally troll slow and you can have the whole family onboard. I believe that’s the best part

    Another great video. what kind of setup do u use for trout from the shore?

    • @Hook2Cook
      @Hook2Cook  5 років тому

      Whats up bro! Any of these lures would work from shore, but baiting a carolina rig would work really well with inflated night crawler or power bait. I will do a video on that one of these days. it'll be fun.

    I’m currently at Cachuma, I tried all day yesterday trolling with minnow imitation shards and I got no luck! Any advice what tackle and where to shore fish from now?

    • @Hook2Cook
      @Hook2Cook  5 років тому

      Dang hope this isn’t too late but nightcrawlers are always the best bet
