Based on your recommendations- I went with the mevo plus and mimicked a lot of your setup in my sim. I could not be happier how it all turned out. Thank you for the knowledge you’ve shared. I just don’t see how there is much of a conversation for any other LM under 5k
one con to note about Mevo is that at outdoor ranges if there are people to you left or right and they hit a ball across your path before you hit your ball mevo will pick up that shot instead of your shot! Flightscope is aware of this, and their solution is that you find a less crowded place to setup and that this is normal for these units. I just assumed that the hitting spot box during setup is where the only ball will be track but that is not true. and if your local ranges are always busy like my local area then you going to run into very frustrating range sessions!
Instead of mentioning the ancient E6, you should mention the FSGolf tools (especially the PC one) as it's what will make you a better golfer.. Having automatic replays of multiple camera angles synchronized will save you tons of time and you'll have the metrics to help you prove to yourself that "feel" is not "real"... And having years of session data is very useful for reference.
In my opinion it is actually good enough, like if people didn’t know what device they are using they would love it but you’ll have some snobs who will think it’s not as good if they see it. Trugolf apogee would be good for a business, foresight falcon would be great as well. Really like most things about the Mevo Plus, however sometimes for no reason it will measure short 10 yards per club for an entire session after it was really accurate the night before. Have recalibrated everything multiple times. can't figure it out at all..
@@GolfBusters Ok thx.... Last question .. I have net return pro.. should I measure. to where the ball first contacts net or back of the net where ball actually would stop due to the reverb. I'm guessing there is about a foot difference between the two. thx
Our carry distances when compared to Foresight Falcon were within 99% for every club over long test periods, so I would say if your carry distances are wrong it may be something with your set-up
Pretty sure you are wrong about Bandon Dunes being an included as a free course in E6. I have a 2021 Mevo + and have looked at the upgraded free courses. Seems like Pebble, St. Andrew’s and Bethpage are the probably the biggest courses in the upgrade.
Gear effect isn't a thing once you get 3/4 of an inch off centre as the club head gets deflected too much for it to occur. Just learnt this a week ago from a top long drive coach in the UK who uses a Flightscope X3.
I very much second this. Shared huge spreadsheets to FS against a GC2 and they are now finally working on fixing the gear effect. This might be a real game changer. Wrong spin axis is a serious issue.
I would love a Mevo+ but don’t have $2k plus additional subscription cost money laying around to run off a gaming pc that I would have to buy. MLM2 fits my budget and checks all the boxes I need
@ I understand that I’m say the Rapsodo fully unlocked is $1200 with 30,000 courses and 5 with e6 even if you bought the Awesome golf software it’s only $1600 with an addition 3 18 hole and 5 9 hole courses at the moment. So about $400 less that the Mevo with a broader range of course playability and connivence of multiple level of golfers
I think it is probably worth it to spend a little more and get a base Mevo+ or SkyTrak+, Some of those under $1000 devices are closer to toys than they are dedicated golf simulator units. That being said I haven't had time to test the Square LM so I could be wrong.
@@GolfBusters I was considering the Eye Mini Lite, but I didn't like how tethered it needs to be to a PC at all times. If the normal Eye Mini were under $3k, then I would probably buy that. From what I've seen, the Square LM does chipping and putting as well as any LM under $20k. To me that is very impressive because most shots in golf are putts and chips, so they need the most practice. And the longer shots seem to be pretty good too on the square. And I'd imagine they will only get better.
I think my words were misinterpreted, we just say people shouldn't do putting on a golf simulator because it's a waste of time, you can do putting on the Mevo+, but in our opinion with any device you shouldn't putt on a golf simulator.
@@GolfBusters To me, it's not a waste of time. Vast majority of shots in real golf are with the Putter and the Driver. I think it's important for me to practice putting as often as possible. Maybe putting isn't great on the mevo+, but that's not true for all LM's. If I am short on time and want to get as many holes in as possible, then it's very easy to just turn off putting. But I want to have that option. And I want my LM to be able to do it well. If I am alone, and have time, then I definitely want to putt.

I've had the Mevo Plus for over a year and absolutely love it, no regrets! This video was spot-on to my experience...
Thanks Erik!

Great point!
I have mevo plus and it’s paid for it self off in range ball savings.
Thanks for that! It would be great to have a video on Badger AI. So, far, there is nothing about it on UA-cam, since it was announced in early 2024.
Would this be suitable if I wanted to start a golf simulator business or probably a more expensive one would be needed?

Will you ever test the Square launch monitor?

Are you using gspro?
I am not as I do not have gs pro. btw.. really enjoy your reviews!
@DV2618-wq6fh I’ve found I get the best accuracy with gspro, had similar issues with E6 and the FS app

What do you think about the total distances? quite short for the Carry distances.
Our carry distances when compared to Foresight Falcon were within 99% for every club over long test periods, so I would say if your carry distances are wrong it may be something with your set-up
@ Carry is correct, but the rollout is was short in comparison to the Golf course or Trackman
Then you just need to adjust green or fairway speeds, this is customizable depending on the program. So it’s more program related than device related.
How did the r50s accuracy compare to the falcon
Haven't got to do a full test with it yet but based on my initial tests it was very very good.
By far the best not even close for me

I think it was at one point we may have got that course list wrong, will look into it tonight
@ it comes with the R10, but the new 12 include 4 of the original 6.

Doesn't MLM2 have more subscription costs than the mevo+?
Mlm2 has subscription fees. Mevo can be run on an ios device like a ipad or iPhone with e6. 5 ranges and 12 free courses. No subscription needed.
@@Nicklebag MLM2 has a $500 lifetime membership so makes the unit only $1200 unless you want to pay $200 a year
@@qdub2012 Mevo+ doesn't have any required subscription, even if you don't use PC.

I can sefinotely afford the mevo+, but I'm leaning towards the Square LM atm.

It's a golf sim... putting... big part of golf
