    • @Byrzzaa
      @Byrzzaa 2 роки тому +7

      @@siyeci I understand your point well. Yes, we have around 70.000-100.000 Russians living here but this isn't the same case than for example in Eastern Ukraine. Vast majority of these Russian immigrants are from either former Finland's Karelia region or Russia' Karelia region. Russians who come from this region often have Finnish roots (quite a lot of people from Finland and Finnish immigrants from USA moved to Soviet Union 1920-1930).
      The second thing is that 99% of Russians living in Finland I've met have VERY VERY negative attitude towards their home country. The way they speak about their country is sometimes even strange and a bit sad to hear since it's still their country of birth. But anyway the point here is that most of these people have moved here because they've wanted to leave their country and have a "new" life here.
      I speak Russian since I learned it in school and been using it in my work so I've talked to many Russians living here so these things aren't made up in my head.
      And yes, I know that these facts don't take the threat away. The threat is real and our government realizes it. At the moment, Russia could by no means invade Finland since it would cause absolutely massive losses since Russia hasn't been in REAL war after ww2 and Finnish army is one of the most capable in Europe. Even though we aren't officially part of Nato, US would 100% sure send its troops since it would be against its interests should Russia attack Finland. And then you have the economical side. Russian economy would collapse causing turmoil inside country and eventually lead to collapse of whole Russia since economically Russia is very very very vulnerable.

    I would like to correct your misunderstanding about Saudi sending "their version" of Quran to Kazakhstan some 30-35 years ago, which you had stated. In fact Saudis were sending copies of Quran in those days as gift to countries all over the world, after they had installed a modern Quran printing press and printed Quran. They had also employed many Europeans (Christians) experts to train Saudi machine operators. I as an engineer was employed in a Saudi company and I had installed there some German machines sold by our company in those days. So your assumption on gift of Quran copies in particular to Kazakhstan is incorrect.
    Secondly, there is no special "version" of Quran gifted by Saudis as stated by you. In Islam there is only one version of Quran since 1400 years. There is already a copy of 1400 year-old Quran present in Tashkent museum, close to Kazakhstan and confirmed by international organizations about the age of that Quran.

    Democracy doesn't mean only voting right. If democratic institutions are hampered, any attempt from the ruling or oppositions to keep a reluctance to reflect social contracts isn't pro-democratic. In essence, no check and balance, no democracy. However, where Industrial-revolution took place, we have observed maximum democratic practices. I personally like to address it as a classical democratic society. Another form of democracy is celebrated in former and existing Communist countries, like Russia, China, Kazakhstan, etc. All are under manipulated second-grade democracy. Some of those are better than the second-grade. The Middle Eastern Emirates are declared undemocratic. Most of those are pretty wealthy, but the global people are less interested in settling there due to straight-line state kingship authority. So shiny buildings, bridges, communication, etc., aren't the measuring yards of an advanced society. And the bottom of the list is countries like India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh, where number and faiths are concerned than democratic values. Despite all sorts of mess, India is ahead of the other two. Because still, people can attain in elections. Though Voters aren't agreed to understand, the job of a government isn't to provide heaven or hell to the people. Thank you from Dhaka, Bangladesh.

There was already anger of damascus ppl towards bashar for not providing jobs. We see political issue of syria with a social bias.
      Actually in syria's case, the core reason was climate change. Failed rains in late 2010s led to migration of villagers to damascus, which led to more crowding & unemployment, & increased anger towards the govt.

      By global standards, the Baltics are 'clean.'
      Why? Because the leadership is just down the road from Joe ordinary.
      The number one issue in the Baltics: how to get the Russians/Slavs to just leave.
      It's a problem: the local (political & economic) environment is so sweet that NO (ethnic) Russian has any motivation to leave.
      It's ironic, Baltic Slavs want things just the way they are. (Can anyone get Putin just to go away?)
      NATO does deploy jets to the Baltics -- four at a time. (!!!) None of them are American. (Yup)
      Instead, they all come from minor NATO powers: Denmark, Norway, Belgium routinely transit through the Baltics.
      Every once in a while, the RAF will station (4) four, F-16 fighters there.
      All of the above are designed with diplomacy in mind.
      Four F-16s can't be any threat to Moscow. They are militarily SYMBOLIC. And that's all.

    6:55 Russia is reducing its dependence on Baikonur for rocket launches. These days it launches more rockets from Plesetsk and (newly built) Vostochny cosmodrome in far east.

    • @davidhimmelsbach557
      @davidhimmelsbach557 2 роки тому +2

      Yes and no. Moscow still loves Baikonur -- and still uses it for ISS oriented launches. The rent is reasonable: One ruble per year.
      I find it hard to believe that Moscow will EVER abandon Baikanur. It's just too sweet.
      In many ways, Baikanur is the International Gateway to Space -- which is, amazingly, how Moscow pitched it all those decades ago.
      Plesetsk is almost wholly oriented towards Moscow's security launches, its version of the USSF's Vandenberg.
      Moscow has come around to American thinking: one launch base for wide open civilian operations;
      Another base for high security, truly military operations. Cost is no longer a significant consideration.
      When NASA proposed using the Space Shuttle for military cargoes, the USAF had a FIT. Ultimately, Moscow came to the same conclusion.

    Indian Media- whether Print, Electronic, or Web pays very little attention to International News. We Indians miss it, since it's just not available unless one tunes BBC , CNN or Al Jazeera. Shekhar, if you recall, Prannoy Roy became a TV star long before he started his own channel, because of the weekly show- The World This Week -TWTW, much before Star News. We need that kind of a show, all that it needs an Anchor like you to present a cm0lilation of videos freely available on net & International TV channels & their websites. Pls start a weekly show on International affairs.
